This is the cope, but the actual reason is Mike Brown is old-school/poor af for an owner and refuses to pay coaches to sit on the couch.

The media didn't want to admit Pete was probably a goner because everyone likes him and it was his first year with the team, but the Vegas Stadium prints money regardless of how good the Raiders are any given year and Mark Davis no longer has concerns about dead money on his accounting books. Pete, as much as I like him, as much as I think he's a HOF coach and will get all the accolades he deserves from the Seahawks, at least, in the near future, changed none of his frustrating habits in Oakland and, worse yet, the culture there seemed toxic and defeatist. That's probably not all on Pete, the current drama surrounding Maxx Crosby indicates to me there's organizational rot throughout the team, but he's a culture guy. It's his thing as a coach. You can't have people jogging routes, missing blocks, and visibly not giving a shit and stay employed as a guy whose job it is to motivate people.
The Raiders are an embarrassment to the league at this point. A new head coach isn’t going to do shit just like a new venue didn’t do shit. It’s different from the Browns and Jets. They’re supposed to suck. The Raiders are supposed to be a world class team.

It was 10-3 at halftime and the Ravens had three accepted penalties after halftime. A kick out of bounds, a false start, and an illegal formation. I think you giving up 23 points and letting them score on five of their six second half drives was a bigger impact than 35 yards worth of penalties.

Right because a 1st and 20, or a 2nd and 20 means nothing in a game where you know points are going to come at a premium. The kick out of bounds came after the lead was blown. The false start came after the lead was blown, and the illegal formation came after the lead was blown. I named multiple penalties that happened BEFORE those penalties happened. You just filled out the other 3.

Let’s not discount Tomlin’s obvious Voodoo powers. Something has to fuel the Bullshit.
We know what is doing the bullshit, it's the Blood Demon that was summoned at some point before Tomlin

Unrelated, how would you all rank the teams that made the playoffs from most likely to go to the Super Bowl down to the 1 and outs?

So, to distract us all from Black Monday, any Playoff predictions? Personally I'm rooting for the funniest option of a Steelers-Panthers Super Bowl, but that's solely because this season is on all sorts of drugs and I'm embracing it for the playoffs as well.
On the AFC side I think the Bills and Jaguars have the best shot at winning the AFC Championship. Both New England and Denver have over performed with what they have and will likely falter done the line. The Chargers I think can pull off the upset over New England and possibly get into the Championship game, but I don't see a Super Bowl run coming just yet for them. Houston and Pittsburgh are both lucky to be in the playoffs.

Since Buffalo and Jacksonville however are both playing in the opening round however, I think that can open the door for New England, Denver or Los Angeles to make a run for the Super Bowl.

The NFC is more of a crapshoot at the moment. The three West teams are the most capable of making a Super Bowl run. The Panthers are lucky to be in the playoffs. Philly has potential but I think they have proven to have way too many problems to repeat. Green Bay still doesn't have what it takes to seriously compete. I think Chicago is the most unpredictable team right now and can surprise us all with a run.

Predictions for coaches who get fired (I haven't looked any of these up in case someone gets fired while I type this)

Pete Carroll - Raiders
Jonathan Gannon - Cardinals
Raheem Morris - Falcons
Zac Taylor - Bengals
Kevin Stefanski - Browns
Shane Steichen - Colts
Mike Tomlin - Steelers
Todd Bowles - Buccaneers
I got 4 of them right. Fucking Bengals and Colts are really fucking with me by keeping their coaches and the Buccaneers are still a wildcard

The Eagles are impossible to predict here. The defense is great, but the Bears beat them by running the ball down their throat and I haven’t seen any reason to believe that can’t happen again.

The Eagles offense is great on paper but basically never can be relied on for anything more than two quarters of production. They seem to be getting Lane Johnson back but not at 100% and all of their problems were apparent before he went out anyway.

A first round exit and a Super Bowl win seem just as likely to me.

If I bet on this terrible, rigged league I would go for Denver v. Seahawks and give the win to the Broncos.

Mike Brown (i think that's the right owner?) will notmnotmfice Zac Taylor as long as he can save money while keeping him, any players worth a dam on the Bengals should flee that ship during the off season

Considering they made the dance, thus keeping their conspiracy alive, I'll take the Panthers in the NFC. Give me Jacksonville or Buffalo if the Chargers don't make it for the AFC

Nice to see both niggers calling the shots in Atlanta getting kicked to the curb.

Speaking of niggers, how the fuck does Andrew Berry still have a job ? That franchise is such a meme.

Well obviously i'll be rooting for my Seahawks on the NFC side alongside the Panthers and Bears while on the AFc side i'll root for the Bills, Jaguars, Chargers and Texans. Outside of my Seahwks my rooting is more for the team i wouldn't mind seeing getting far

If someone like Pete Carroll with his resume as a head coach can get fired after one season with a new team, how can the Jets justify bringing back Aaron Glenn after his disastrous first year? Glenn was historically awful. Everybody knows the Jets are just going to fire him like 8 weeks into the next season anyway.
You answered your reason why: It's the Jets,

Stafford MVP

In the NFC, Rams back to the Super Bowl. The rest of the NFC is weak outside of Seattle, and you can never trust Darnold not to shit the bed when it matters most.

AFC is tricky, but I don't think anybody wants to play Houston right now. That defense is hard to deal with. I'll be rooting for Buffalo to get to the Super Bowl in the AFC but their defense is garbage so it's probably not gonna happen. So I think I'd have to pick Houston as it stands now.

Rams win. Another ring for Stafford.
