Good points all around, having taken some time to ponder my own question, I think what might save LaFleur's job is just the fact that there are already So. Many. Openings. This season. We almost have every division in the league with a vacancy (AFC North did the NFC North a solid by firing two of their coaches), and the Packers are notoriously conservative and probably aren't going to want to get into bidding wars with another team for a prospective coach.
