It was intentional, Bad Bunny himself expressly said that the minute it was announced he was the headliner. He said "you all have 4 months to learn Spanish", which incited several months of conservative outrage. IMO the message wasn't fully conveyed since the relevant social commentary wasn't in english.

Kendrick Lamar's halftime show last year had him looking directly at the box Trump was sitting in and repeating the lyric "The Revolution is about to be televised, you picked the right time but the wrong guy", which got the political message across.

Either way, it was a nice looking show. Very cool set design. I look forward to hearing about it from every fucking coworker for the next three weeks.

Fun fact about Latino culture: if you want to trigger a Latino, and you’re in a Latin American country, say you’re American when introducing yourself. They have a specific term for people from the United States (estadounidense), because if you say you’re American and don’t elaborate, they’ll be like “soy Americano también,” because they don’t like that it’s people from the United States specifically that get that distinction. They say it also because of the technicality that they live on the American continents. They love this technicality if it’s a way to “own” Americans.
