Not a bad draft thus far. I am little disappointed with Styles and Downs go to division rivals, but I am overall happy with the Giants picks.

It was fun watching Minnesota fuck up their pick. The 2024 season is going to haunt them for years.
I'm very happy with the Downs pick. What I'm sad about is the rest of the East also having damn good drafts.

Pretty good draft for the Cowboys. Caleb Downs was a steal, and I hope we get Jacob Rodriguez in the second round. As for the draft itself, some entertaining moments happened, like the Steelers' renegade intro and some funny moments like that one guy's brother having his pants hiked down in front of the camera and Roger Goodell getting booed, but even with my ball knowledge, I still don't know or can't pronounce the names of most of the guys that got drafted. Also, the lack of QBs is disappointing, but Mendoza going first overall and Ty Simpson surprisingly getting drafted 13th was interesting. But overall, I think this draft, entertainment-wise, was pretty mid, some good, some bad, but Caleb Downs is a fantastic pick for the Dallas Cowboys, so I'm happy.

You guys use the draft to get skill players?? Recruit like a real team and pick your star players up outside county jails

This is literally the most nothingburger thing to come out of the NFL in ages niggers be out here doing coke and killing women and we are worried about a fat old dude banging a journalist? What is this goobernflgate?
Edit: that clip of Jerry Jones almost eating shit on his way to suck off Bill Clinton is vastly more entertaining, if only because Jerry almost finally met the reaper.

I am SO glad that the Rams took Ty Simpson. I don't know how good Simpson may wind up based on his own merits, but he's a project pick and I have a theory that McVay is bad at developing QBs. He hit the panic button and called in a vet when defenses took away his ability to read them *for* Goff instead of teaching him *how* to do it, Goff then learns how and leads a top 5 offense (obviously no longer top 5 with Ben Johnson gone, let's see how it looks with a different OC before we claim it was all him instead of Goff). Wolford didn't pan out, even as a backup, despite how much McVay liked him because he reminded him of himself. He settled for Jimmy G the last few years. He didn't look particularly happy about the pick when they cut to the Rams draft room. They were 4 points away from another ring with Stafford this year. McVay, in all likelihood, is heading to the media once Stafford hangs them up, he mentions retiring soon-ish basically every offseason. Not a time to saddle him with some rookie needing to learn and other bullshit when they need to be winning.

also lmao Cardinals, I'm sure Mikey Bidwill is super excited at the prospect of all the Jeremiyah Brown jerseys he'll sell while the rookie gets Ashton Jeanty'd behind that line, Jacoby Brisset dies by week 5 post-holdout, and the team goes 4th in the division again playing for a nonexistent crowd.

not sure how to feel about the Seahawks pick. Was kind of hoping we could trade out. RB is a position of need, even though Price got super outshined by Brown at Notre Dame he was still pretty good. I would've preferred trying to get another corner, but I also believe MacDonald can develop that position really well.

Never underestimate the appeal of tawdry bedroom drama that lets people take the gossip artists with high opinions of themselves that are entertainment media journalists down a peg.

Jadarian Prince, Good/Meh/Why pick? Opinions?

I'm a believer. I think we'll be able to cover the needs on the defensive side through the remainder of the draft and free agency, but what I've seen of Price makes me think he's a really good fit for the style of running the Seahawks like, and there are no other RBs like him left in the draft pool. If we didn't grab him here, he'd almost certainly be gone by the time our next pick came up and after the two RBs taken in the first round there is a power gap in quality to get to the eventual third RB picked.

Also, @Zaryiu2, you edited your post sometime between when it loaded on my page and when I clicked the quote button, so I thought I was tripping when I saw words that were absolutely not what I read show up in the quote box. Well played, sir.

I simply decided to edit my post to something i thought read better

ANOTHER great thing about the Rams drafting Ty Simpson at #13:
People will finally stop manifesting Snead trading for Burrow/Allen and McVay rehabilitating them from their garbage-ass franchises, instead this is way more likely to drag out for years if/when Stafford retires and the Rams figure out if they can make the Simpson project work.

The NFL makes me angry because my team kinda sucks, and I hate all of your teams (unless they’re my team).

With that being said, I do hope my fellow Kiwis and their teams enjoy the upcoming NFL draft and season (but not as much as me and my team).

I think taking RB at 32 is pretty smart. Contract's pretty cheap and you still get the fifth year option. You can just franchise tag them after that for a full six years of control, and then after that they're probably busted up anyway.
