That being said, either the Colts and Texans are going to take the AFC South.
Not exactly hard when 7-10 gets you in.
Also per, Farabaugh Aaron Rodgers is retiring after this season, he outright said this is his last. Probably a duh moment but this is the first time he's said it frankly. If he wasn't playing for the Steelers again he probably would have retired last year honestly.
Bro's about to pull a Manning and go out with a second Lombardi while Reddit rages.

Part of me is sad that the Vikings didn't nut up and get him to complete the Favre cycle, given that they're a good team that just needs a competent QB. The other part of me would be scared of Rodgers in a Vikings uniform. I think he could have at had been a more entertaining twilight of his career with the Vikes than the Steelers. Oh well. Enjoy 9 and the manlet gamer in your QB room Viking childs

9 or Wil Levis? Which of these QBs would give us more memes this season?

9 for sure. Not sure we're seeing Levis outside of the preseason. He's still on the Titans roster (I had to look that up, tbh), and Cam Ward despite taking a few hundred sacks didn't get hurt last season. The emergency QB market still has far better options than Levis.
Only way he's seeing the field is if Ward gets injured. He's probably got a voodoo doll of him that he stabs the ACLs of every night.

The Browns have been Browning

McCarthy has been a fun comedy of errors. The plan was to have a cheap rookie at QB for their window and they'd just sit him for the first year to develop him, then he tore his meniscus in camp and their plan very quickly went to hell.

To be fair, Rodgers probably would've fucking died with that messed up OL, but seriously you've got a former MVP wanting to play for you for like $10m. Should've just grabbed him and told Nine to sit his ass down.

Remind me who that is? I'm drawing a mental blank at that name
Joe gained notoriety from the famous Saquon Barkley clip in 2024 offseason Hard Knocks when owner John Mara talked about how badly he didn't want Saquon to leave and how he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if Schoen traded him to a division rival. "Chicago is driving up the price and the Eagles are out." or however the quote went. :story:

How does this motherfucker still have his job? 😂
A few possibilities (with some overlap)
-Wellington Mara was loyal to a fault, and would hold on to staff/players the league consensus was negative towards years longer than he maybe should have. But it gave him a decade and a half of LT, and the 80's Giants. John Mara has pretty much always tried to live up to his dad's legacy, warts and all
-Jaxson Dart looking like he might be the guy really, actually, saved this dude's job and the timing was such that Mara had to make a decision re: his contract before even getting a 2nd season fluke test out of Dart under John Harbaugh's tutelage.
-Maybe the cancer Mara announced he had last fall is worse than he lets on, and they're locking a GM he trusts ok in place in preparation for a regime change. Seahawks extended Schneider with some time still left on his contract last year (I think, maybe the year before), so it extended through 2030, which keeps the Seahawks leadership as a unit together while the sale of the team goes through. Similar tactic for the Giants, assuredly not for a sale, it'll probably go to his nephew or something.

I love how brutally honest he is. I wish we had a coach like Jim Mora in today's NFL, who told it like it was.
I don't know how VIc Fangio was as a head coach in Denver, but his press conferences in Philly are gold. He's honest and let's stuff go like that the Eagles were in on Woolen when Seattle shopped him during the season, but the price was too high. That was yesterday at his first press conference of the 2026 season. I don't remember a whisper about that and the beat writers I watch were all suprised. Nobody talks about that kind of stuff anymore.

the Eagles were in on Woolen when Seattle shopped him during the season,
Man I missed that news, not surprising but the fandom was pretty split on the idea of shopping him around the trade deadline, he'd started to show flashes of consistency again after a rocky af start to the season.

I don't remember if I heard any specific trade rumors regarding Woolen around the deadline, but I do remember that the local sports talk was absolutely floating whether or not we should use him as trade bait. I feel like having his name thrown around like that might have woke him up a bit, because it was in that week or two before the trade deadline when he finally stopped acting like he could coast through the '25 season on his '24 successes.

End of an era if he sticks with it. He's the last man standing of the really insane QBs from that generation. He might be the most talented ball thrower the league has ever seen.
It's kind of a year too late though, in some ways. Not his skill (I watched this man chuck a 70 yard hail mary in the unc bowl and the only reason it didn't complete is because DK Metcalf both has the looks like Tarzan/plays like Jane problem AND stone hands) but last season the Steelers played both the NFC North AND the AFC East. This season he's playing the AFC/NFC south. Who cares. No history with any of those teams, not really.
Yeah I personally think Rodgers might be the best QB ever in terms of mechanical ball throwing, even Brady said the same. And yeah I'm still pissed that pass didn't complete, I swear DK Metcalf is the smallest big receiver ever lol, the reason guys like Megatron were so dominant was because they literally towered over corners. DK is 6'4'' and plays like he's only 5'10''. Watching him fail the Geno ran Seahawks was so frustrating.

Yeah, we can blame dipshit Kwesi for that. Per media (AKA, Rodgers' agent putting out feelers) he REALLY wanted to come to Minne last season. A lot of dumb Vikings fans were saying "nuh uh, he's a packer bro"! but I really wanted to see it happen. I don't care what team players are from, he's in the top 3 best QB's of all time easily I want him on my fuckin team. He probably would have died in that Falcons game though lol
