My mom was watching the game and I only caught the end of it. I instantly recalled when Hank Hill mentioned having both Texan teams competing in the Super Bowl because they were from different conferences-an all Texas Super Bowl! I guess this will be the closest we'll get so far unless a miracle happens.

As a cubs fan this reminds me of my ultimate dream as a sports fan where the Cubs and Sox play each other in a world series. North Side vs South Side. Can you imagine the riots and craziness? Chicago wins no matter what, yet all of Chicago loses at the same time. It would be insanity and also the greatest time in a Chicago sports fans life.

Though, as Steve Goodman said, "the chances of that are as good as that of me pissin' on the moon".


EDIT: I also remember the "All Texas Superbowl" quote from King of the Hill. Cracked me up so much remembering it I had to look it up. So here y'all go.

Great effort from my Giants yesterday, but goddamn, you can not make mistakes like some of the ones they made yesterday.

When OBJ fucked up the punt return and gave the Panthers a free 7 points, the first words out of my mouth were "I bet we lose by less than 7" and I'll be damned if that's not what happened.

Dumb penalties and bone headed mistakes will cost you, and it did yesterday. It didn't help that the officiating was infuriating (that unnecessary roughness call was fucking ridiculous. Apparently defenders aren't supposed to go for the ball now!)

Not to take anything away from the Panthers. They deserved to win and that 63 yard game winner was insane, and part of playing well is not messing up. They were more disciplined and played better because of it.

I just hate when self inflicted wounds that are easily avoidable (like that goddamn punt return!!! FAIR CATCH THAT SHIT MAN!) are the cause for a loss.

Only reason he’s doing that is because his knee is fucked beyond recognition and he has to change his game into a gunslinger pocket guy since he can’t even measure up to post-prison Vick as a scrambler anymore.

Dude was drafted to be a dual threat. He isn’t that anymore after last season’s injury.

Vance Joseph has got to fucking go. This is ridiculous. I love Elway, but letting Wade go and pulling in these super exceptional individuals is absolutely unacceptable. Just have someone on the sideline doing the "suggested plays" from Madden, and they'll probably have better luck.

Keenum isn't THAT bad. But the offense needs to fuckin' work around him. He's better when he's running bootlegs, play action, and moving the pocket. Broncos have a really good run game, and they need to leverage that better. Having Keenum play statue passer in the pocket is not doing him any favors. Musgrave is a fuckin' idiot and is ruining this offense. I don't think that Keenum is the answer at QB (throw in $wag Kelly, and see what the kid can do), but he is certainly a more proven commodity than Siemian and the old Bucs logo from last year.

If the Broncos can't beat Arizona tonight, and Vance is still the coach come Monday....I'll probably keep watching but I'll be REALLY disgruntled.

I feel like we kind of deserve this after laughing so hard at the Chargers as they wasted Rivers' best years under Norv Turner

I hope they do, I don't want Joseph and his friends to stay 1 more year because he coached the team to win against the Cards.
