Man, just fuck this game tonight. Out of all the lousy calls by the refs this year, those last two flags tonight took the cake. Bakhtiari had his hands in Trey Flowers' facemask the 1st bogus penalty, and then for the 2nd bogus penalty, I have never seen such textbook holding be completely ignored by an offciating crew like that. Not even a Lions fan and I feel pissed off.
The two penalties against Flowers were so egregious and so consequential to the game's outcome that I'm almost on board with the idea that the refs are, on some level, fixing games to please the betting market.

this isnt lousy refereeing, hell this isnt even refball, this is about as blatant an example in the last decade (maybe even more so than the no call PI in new orleans) of the NFL being open, and unabashedly rigged. idk if the order came straight from roger goodell or if the refs had a mafia debt or even if the packers paid off the refs but anyone who watched the 4th quarter can see the refs were openly against the lions. and here i was thinking the lions could make it a 5th straight against the packers, i forgot the last 4 times were against them when their teams were pretty much out if the playoff picture, with either aaron being hurt or their team sucking ass because of mike mccarthy. i honestly dont know if i can watch the regurgitated bullshit wrapped tampons for refs the NFL trods out onto the field every week.

Yeah, I mean, I thought the Rams/Saints PI no-call was about as bad as it gets, especially given the stakes, but last night was on a different level. Booger McFarland may be among the worst to ever call sports games, but even he notched a W for rightfully shitting on the refs during the broadcast.

Patriots - I'm not interested in this shit that the media drums up every season in recent years that the Patriots might be done, they don't look the same as they used to, blah blah blah. They're trying it again this year so far. It is true that they've gone 6-0 against a series of teams that is among the most dogshit lineup of cupcakes a team has ever been fortunate enough to face off against in a single season. But you can hear them starting already - They haven't played anyone yet, Brady's looking shaky, they're getting banged up on offense and he has to throw to nobodies (like Julian Edelman), etcetc. All this so that when the Pats once again get a first round bye, have everything fall their way in the playoffs, and Brady throws 30 screens to a wide open receiver and their RB's score 4 touchdowns in a Super Bowl which their defense will limit the opponent to 14 points to make it #7, they can once again start fellating Brady and declaring this the single greatest overcoming of adversity that a sports team has ever accomplished to win a title. I want to be wrong about this pretty badly.

But at least I can take some solace in seeing that the Cowboys are meeting expectations ahead of schedule. What a joke of a team. Their fans are as insufferable as Pats fans but forget 6 super bowls, they don't have 6 playoff wins they can remember since 96. They talk about winning cultures and losing cultures around sports teams and how it makes a difference, the Cowboys have perhaps the only example of a long-time fake winning culture. America's Team and all that nonsense. I can see how it's pretty easy for this to pervade from Jerry on down and basically make it impossible to have a team that's capable of rising to serious challenges, when they act like it's a foregone conclusion that /this/ year, with /this/ roster, you can pretty much book a NFC championship appearance, before they've played a single game. And yet, after going 3-0 against the worst teams in the league, they now find themselves neck and neck in a division that by all means they probably should have ran away with. Maybe once they do something about that coach. /Maybe/.

What on earth is going on in the Rams front office? Six weeks in, with a .500 average and defenses showing they know to wait until the radio cutoff to bamboozle your offense, and Los Angeles just handed 2 first round picks and a 4th for Jalen Ramsey.

Do they really think they can make another Super Bowl off of Gurley's arthritic knee and Aaron Donald when the 49ers are mounting the most monstrous defense in the NFC and the Seahawks are somehow 5-1??? They're seriously flirting with being out of contention for their division alone.

Down goes disley and and prob my fantasy season. Wtf happened to like every tight end in the league this year

as a lions fan, refs completely screwing the team over when it matters isnt new

The terrible weather in D.C wasn't enough to stop the Niners Undefeated Season:
I wished they scored some TD's, but I'll take the win regardless.

Before the season, I said that the bears success seemed to rest alot on Mitchell Trubisky just playing ok, not great, but ok. All he had to do was not suck.

I've seen good things from him at times in his career, but I've seen enough overall that now I can safely say, the dude sucks. Got alot of heart but that dont mean shit if hes not a winner.

He looks utterly clueless out there, like he doesnt know his playbook or his guys routes, he can't read a defense to save his life. Every single snap he looks like a scared deer in headlights, every single game, with zero improvement since his first start as a rookie a couple years ago.

Barring some total and miraculous 180 turnaround in his play the rest of this season, I'm calling it now that next year he wont be on an NFL roster.

I'm in the start Chase Daniel's crowd now honestly.

Trubisky is a bust, mark it. And when you throw in that he was drafted ahead of both Deshaun Watson and Patrick Fucking Mahomes, by a team who traded up in the draft to select him, he'll go down as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

EDIT: Holy hell does sam darnold look bad tonight. He might even be worse than Mitch.

I dont think you can put all the blame on Sam Darnold, you beat the patriots with gameplaning, and in game adjustments, gase's play calling did Darnold zero favors.

Lol the Patriots Defense is like 9th overall fantasy player this year. That's like old Ravens D levels of effectiveness.

They're making everyone look bad. I can't wait for them to play a good team.

I am extremely scared of this Patriots Defense. The Browns had a tempo going with that run game, but that got shut down and now it feels like the Pats D are toying with the Browns now.

I lost this week (once again) as the 2nd highset point total of the week. My opponent dropped a casual 200 spot on me.

Fuck you Latavius Murray.
Fuck you Jared Goff too.

I picked up Jimmy G since Mahomes was out and Jackson was on a bye week. Great choice if I do say so myself.

A God-Tier ranked Tank Bowl.

Miami still has to play Cincinnati. Mark 12/22 on your calendars now. I wonder if two 0-15 teams have ever faced off before?

edit: They play in Week 15. So presumably they'll both be 0-14 at game time. Only one will remain perfect in the aftermath. Muh autism, etc., brought me back.

I kind of disagree. The Patriots looked so damn beat-able at points. If Chubb could have held onto the ball, if some of those kind of ticky-tack penalties weren't called, if...But they just keep on winning. Next Sunday night vs. Baltimore in Baltimore should be interesting.

They have looked beatable more than once but no one's managed to do it yet. That's what makes them scary.

Miami what are you doing... Why are you putting up points!?!? You need to save that strength when you go up against the Bangles! How are you going to get the first over all pick!

They can't be too blatant with the tank, Goodell might try to flex his control over the league again.

EDIT: we're <2:00 out from the end of the game and the commentators are talking about the trade deadline and where everyone in Miami is headed, lmao.
