The Jets traded Sam Darnold to Carolina. Looks like they're going to take either Wilson or Fields with the #2 overall pick. I wouldn't be shocked if they traded down a little bit to grab Mac Jones around the #10 spot.

To Panthers:
  • Sam Darnold (QB)
To Jets:
  • 6th round pick (2021)
  • 2nd round pick (2022)
  • 4th round pick (2022)

Sam Darnold might not have ever been a league average QB, but he didn't even have a ghost of a chance in NY.
Literally what I was thinking. I want to see how he performs outside of the Jets before writing him off as a bust just because I saw potential in his rookie year. But having Gase as your HC with no help from your weapons or OC is a recipe for failure. If he bombs in Carolina, then okay, he's a bust. But any player who left Gase has gone on to improve/succeed elsewhere when they were bad with him. Tannehill immediately comes to mind. Sure he's not top 10 or elite, but he was revived in Tennessee and I'm curious to see if something similar happens with Darnold

This is all upside for the Panthers. Darnold is 23 and just got out of the worst NFL coaching system, maybe ever. I think it's worth it for Carolina. I would take Darnold over Fields or Wilson and they didn't have to spend a top 5 pick on him.

Now this could just as easily blow up and Darnold continues to suck but I give the Panthers a lot of credit for pulling the trigger. There's a chance one year from today we are laughing at how the Jets are stuck with Fields and Darnold put up huge numbers in Carolina.

Yeah. Watson is fucked. 22 women accusing him, 14 accusers filing cases many of which could become criminal.

I'm always one to wait for the facts to come out and let the system playout.... But I do not think the NFL is gonna let him play with all of this hanging over him.

Not with this many accusers.

Like others have said, I can't wait to see Goodell and the NFL fuck this up even more. Like they do with everything.
Youre a straight up retard if you believe his accusers. It will take video evidence or extremely incriminating text messages to change my mind. Im DONE believing women, i only believe in facts and evidence

Okay.

Never said I believed them.

The NFL though, is never gonna let him play with that many accusers and cases against him. Period.

They have a conduct policy that is unequal and shit and left up to Goodell.

He is done until he resolves this.

Aaaand Nike has officially suspended their endorsement of Watson.

The Panthers' have been one of the better franchises over the last 20 years. They draft well and they have a pretty good record on coaching decisions and developing players. They have a stud WR1 in DJ Moore and his supporting cast is solid as well. McCaffrey is better than anyone Darnold has played with in NY, same with DJ Moore.

Should be interesting now that the Falcons still suck, and Drew Brees is being replaced by Jameis Winston. Two team race in the NFC South this year unless Payton pulls a miracle with Jameis.

Julian Edelman announces retirement after Patriots release Super Bowl hero due to failed physical

New England Patriots Super Bowl hero Julian Edelman has announced his retirement from the NFL after a 12-career in Foxborough. Earlier on Monday, the Patriots parted ways with the veteran receiver who helped the franchise win three Super Bowls. The team terminated Edelman's contract following a failed physical, which paved the way for his retirement.

The soon-to-be 35-year-old receiver has been with the Patriots since 2009, when he was taken with the 232nd overall pick in the draft. A starter on each of the team's three most recent Super Bowl championship teams, Edelman was limited to just six games after undergoing knee surgery in 2020. He finished the 2020 season with 21 catches for 315 yards, his lowest totals since 2012.

"I've always said, 'I'll go until the wheels come off,' and they finally have fallen off," Edelman said in his retirement video. "Due to an injury last year, I'll be making my official announcement of my retirement from football. It was a hard decision, but the right decision for me and my family. And I'm honored and so proud to be retiring a Patriot."

I am not a pats fan (and we all know pats are a true love or hate team) but, I read a few people saying "he's going to TAMPA. Cope is stronger than Qanon.

Eldelman is an amazing talent, and knew his time was up. Nothing but respect to the dude. He ain't scamming to show up with Brady. If that happens, unlike techpriest I will eat a hat.

So a lot of outlets were screeching racism on why teams didn't have Justin Fields rated higher than the BYU QB in the draft. Turns out Fields suffers from epilepsy.

Diagnosed as a youth, Fields has seen his symptoms get shorter and less frequent over time, and he doesn't have seizures as long as he takes his medicine, a source said. He's projected as a first-round pick in next week's NFL Draft, which begins with the first round on April 29.

So how does epilepsy work with repeated blows to the head this man is going to have to endure if he's drafted by a bad team?
