FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH TRUMP

NOW BIDEN IS MY BEST FRIEND

Doesn't the Whitehouse visit usually happen less than a month after the owl? Or is Biden just that desperate to get a one up on the Donald?
I don’t know, but I just find it funny that he snubbed both Obama and Trump, and thought humoring the oldest POTUS out of the three makes him the less hated.

What's with people dising Obama? The media seems to be dising not only Trump, but Obama as well?

I find it funny are they really done sucking him now.

So not only does a team have to forfeit the game if non-vaxxed players test positive for COVID, but the team that didn't forfeit still loses all of their game checks?

Yeah, I'm sure that will go over well. Apparently it's okay to have an outbreak if everyone has their shots though, which makes no sense.

Edit: Holy shit. Apparently the PLAYERS ASSOCIATION is fine with no players getting paid because "it was the same rule last year."

So, the players association is fine with players NOT getting paid for NOT violating a rule? Wow, I'd be fucking livid if I was a player right now.

Apologies if it was mentioned and I just missed it, but the NFL also announced about a week ago that they'll be playing the "black national anthem ('Lift Every Voice and Sing')" before all of their games this season. :story:

I'm sure us TV viewers won't have to worry about it as the networks will be doing their best to hide the large amount of boos which are sure to come when this does happen

Looks my Sunday schedule just got freed up a bit more. Actually, I only watched the Packers games last year and even then, I only watched one game all the way through.

The only reason I even tune into NFL games is just to check out on my fantasy team performance.

I've preferred college football for the last 20 years anyway.

Whelp, Aaron Rodgers showed up to training camp yesterday, concluding the most overblown story of the offseason. Personally, I find it hilarious that he forced the Packers to trade for Randall Cobb as part of their concessions.
What I am surprised about is that nothing's been done by Goodell yet re: Deshaun Watson. He's at training camp now (the new CBA really killed the potential of holdout drama going forward, $50k a day is nothing to sneeze at, even for the superstar players), but he's still demanding a trade and McNair insists on nothing less than two firsts, a second, and a starter in exchange for that, which no one's going to agree to while there's these civil suits and potential NFL punishments besides looming over Watson's head.

The full press conference Aaron did today.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=NeQQ8Ebksf4It's a fucking spicy one that's for sure.
Damn, he really took shots at both the current and former FO. I agree with him about the silliness of not trying to utilize him in free agency recruiting, when free agency started it was places like Green Bay that made everyone worry about how it'd affect team parity. Only Reggie White taking a deal there quieted some of those worries.

Kansas City Chiefs Removed Their Offensive Mascot, But Have No Plans To Change Name

Kansas City's pro football team has retired a longtime on-field personality, Warpaint the horse, over concerns about the use of Native American imagery. Groups insist the Chiefs' name be changed.

AILSA CHANG, HOST:

Now that Cleveland's baseball team revealed its new name, some of the spotlight has turned to Kansas City football. As KCUR's Luke Martin reports, this week, the Chiefs retired a well-known fixture at Arrowhead Stadium.

LUKE MARTIN, BYLINE: The retirement is that of a horse named Warpaint. She's been doing victory runs after Chiefs touchdowns since 2009. But at a press conference Monday, team president Mark Donovan says those days are over. The move is part of a years-long evolution in the team's use of much criticized Native American imagery. But Donovan stresses that the evolution does not include changing the team's name.

(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING)

MARK DONOVAN: We'll continue to take the path we've taken educating ourselves, educating our fans, creating opportunities to create awareness.

MARTIN: For eight years, the team has consulted the American Indian Community Working Group, and slowly, some change has come. Last year, the team banned headdresses and Native-inspired face paint in the stadium. But the notorious tomahawk chop chant is still criticized by many. That progress is too slow for Gaylene Crouser, executive director of the Kansas City Indian Center.

GAYLENE CROUSER: They're just kind of, I think, trying to placate the community at this point. How much racism are we going to tolerate?

MARTIN: This isn't the first time a horse has been retired. There was no Warpaint in the late '90s and early 2000s. The National Congress of American Indians and plenty of others, including Crouser, want the Chiefs to change their name and cut out Native imagery altogether.

CROUSER: And it can't be that hard to find something that's not a stereotype of a human being.

MARTIN: As for the fans, well, they appear to be split. Joe Beckerman has been going to home games for years. Warpaint's retirement wasn't a surprise to him.

JOE BECKERMAN: Yeah, the horse could go. That was getting old anyway.

MARTIN: But Beckerman doesn't think the Chiefs need a name change, and he's not worried about adjusting to a post-Warpaint era. For at least some of those fans, Warpaint's retirement is a step in the right direction, moving away from imagery many find offensive.

I doubt they'll be called the Chiefs five years from now. So we can have the KCFT to go with the WFT. Over/Under on that anyone?

Kansas City Chiefs removing the mascot but not the name is just proof that the Washington Football Team got off easy. Their fanbase cares more about a Redskin than a Chief, which probably shows their mentality about how the view the NFL as a whole.

What the fuck even is the offensive mascot? I did a quick google and all I'm getting is some goofy wolf fursuit wearing a Chiefs jersey.

A cheerleader rides a horse around the stadium after a KC score. The horse is (I think?) a palomino and the name of the horse is Warpaint. Literally a replay of Wounded Knee multiple times every Sunday during the season, I guess.
