We've had a couple of pizza threads, but they've been more for specific types of pizza, and most of them haven't gained much traction. Therefore, since today is National Pizza Day, I've decided to make an official general pizza thread! All types of pizza can be discussed here: New York style, Chicago style, Detroit style, etc.

My local favorite place is Rosati's. I've enjoyed them since at least middle school.

I am a man of simple tastes:

Mozzarella, mushrooms, ham and black olives.

If I feel a bit crazy, I might throw in some green peppers, jalapenos or capers.

I also really enjoy calzone, but I can't make a proper one with my current oven. The dough is just never right.

I am actually planning on building a pizza oven so I can cook with wood fire. I'll settle for stone pizza for now, but wood oven pizza is just the best. I would never ever eat out at pizzeria with a stone oven, I can come close enough at home.

I tried the new Papa John's Parmasean Crust (after Papa John's spammed the holy hell out of me with emails for it, holy shit they send me like 3 emails a day) and it was pretty good for a thin crust pizza.

Dominos

Dominos is the worst pizza chain, they can't even Deliver shit in under like 4 hours.

I've got a love for Loaded Potato pizzas, probably my favorite type. Chicken Bacon Ranch is also pretty good. Though sometimes a plain Pepperoni pizza hits just right.
