K. ROOL:
'Cause you're one of us! One of us!
You're mean and green, scaly sheen
Can't you see you're one of us?
You walk the walk, my brother Croc!
Arm in arm, together we rock!

A selective python breeder has created an Emoji Ball Python snake after 8 years of trying.

Justin Kobylka breeds snakes with unique patterns and sells them.

The patterns are caused by recessive mutations that do occur naturally, but it is extremely unlikely to happen in the wild.

The extremely rare snake could be sold for at least $4,500 but Justin told Business Insider that he will keep this particular animal due to it's "uniqueness".

Motherfucker spent 8 years breeding an emoji snake... Semper fi my friend.

Also have a picture I took a long time ago, I loved it and used it as the background on my phone forever

Made ya look
This is an aquatic snake named because of the "tentacles" on its head which function more like whiskers than as tentacles

I really like reptiles, snakes aren't my fav (as far as animals you can keep as a pet go) because I don't understand their body langauge or behaviors enough so I don't think I'd be able to successfully have one thriving (unless I did several months of research)
I really like the more chill reptiles; tortoises, bearded dragons, water dragons plus I fucking adore frogs and toads.
I also seem to enjoy caring for herbavores over carnivores as I enjoy going to the store and finding the best veggies for them and planning their weekly meals vs going to the pet store to buy crickets or a frozen mouse.

The local reptile community is really hostile and gatekeep-y so I don't really associate with them anymore. It's sad because people like that have so much knowledge to share that can help improve reptile welfare but they choose to shame you over giving you resources to help improve care and further your knowledge.

Pet stores really jack up the prices on insects, or at least they do in my neck of the woods. Not to mention that most of the bugs in the cups are usually dead. $6 for 15 meal worms, about half dead. But go to a convention or expo and you can get 1k for $5-$10, and maybe a dozen will be dead. There's also DIY colonies, but that isn't an option for me at this time.

This is seriously a problem, especially online.
I've learned this year that the leopard gecko community is ridiculously petty. The woman I got one of my rescues from would randomly post these incredibly long screeds on Instagram and delete them after about 5 minutes. The posts were always aimed at this one woman who had a more successful leo breeding business. Petty woman would always complain about successful woman being married, having a nice house, and being, well, successful. Delete. New post, Petty goes on about how great her 9-5 job is and how Successful is just jealous. Delete. New post, Petty then talks about how healthy and happy her leos are, even though I did a bit of digging through her old stuff and found out that my rescue has physical problems and trust issues because of fucking Petty herself. Delete. New post, "If you're friends with her then you're not my friend!" Delete. And it wasn't just her; there were way more petty breeders involved than I ever would have imagined. It's weird to see people who breed cute lizards form these Mean Girls-esque cliques and dedicate so much time to bitching about one another. You'd think that (mostly hobby) breeders who are married with kids and regular full-time jobs would have better shit to do.
