The Official Simpsons Griefing Thread

That and when your animation is filled with never ending brand references in each episode you wonder where the show resumes or where the commercials start.

To be clear, I know this is every show on the air, but the Simpsons do it in a way that especially leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Sure does, though I like it when they're pimping foreign crap like this...
It's not every day you get to see Bart's winky!

That and the lack of heart going into the show. Matt Groening's baby was always Futurama, and the poor treatment that got has pretty much jaded him.

Matt is developing a show for NetFlix, actually, and I wish him the best.

Did anyone else see the couch gag Disney animator Eric Goldberg did? As bad as the show gets, they still do some interesting couch gags.

Just the thing to play on your Panaphonics, Magnetbox or Sorny TV's!

It amazes me I can't find a video clip of this scene, but fuck it. Here's the quote.

Stewie Griffin: Brian, you took me out on my first Halloween tonight, and you showed me an exciting time. And for that, I'm going to let you pick out some candy from my bag.
Brian Griffin: Oh, thanks.
Stewie Griffin: And keep in mind we can't use any brand names, due to advertising concerns.
Brian Griffin: Right, okay, I'll have a Mr. Wiffle bar, a Kooky Nut Pop, some Gyminyms, uh a Zip-Zap, a Choco-Buddy, uh, a $64000 Bar, a Not-A-Finger, and a Dawkins Peanut Butter Disk.
Stewie Griffin: God, I hate television.

Still they sound clever for names.

Sorry to necro, but they told me about the recent Halloween episode, and apparently they were parodying the Hunger Games...about four years late.

I don't get why new Simpsons episodes have so much problems to catch on with new stuff. I mean in the 90s they made fun of topical issues, but they never felt dated like the current jokes are. I don't get it.

There's speculation Matt hates the show now and desperately wants to move on but FOX won't let him considering everything else on their network is even shittier.

Currently going through seasons 4-10 again. I'm not going to bother with anything past that. Skipping the lisa-centric episodes like usual. Deep Space Homer and Homer the Chosen are still fucking great as are most of the treehouse episodes.

Looking through some synopses of the recent 2-3 seasons and it all reads like LOL SO RANDOM XD shit to me, like this one for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Came_to_Be_Dinner

Sounds more like a Family Guy episode to me.
