Its only familiar because you lived in that era, meanwhile I can imagine a zoomer looking at 16bit carts like I looked at vinyl records when I grew up with CDs.It's so uncanny to go back and re-watch season 2 here in 2022. The Simpsons have become the ultimate time capsule. Arcades in malls, cartridge based video games, vhs tapes and cathode ray tube TVs. Cable TV being a hot commodity where as now most communication companies use "cut the cord" as a marketing technique.
Really does send you back to a different, yet still oddly familiar enough world.
This applies to me, but gaming instead of music.Millennials are now finally understanding what it was like for their parents to see humor they don't understand or find funny infect all their favorite mediums. Kids these days, they don't know humor like me!

It is ironic how after multiple generations pushing the envelope zoomers are instead going back, like I remember the older genX kids watching beavis and butthead while the boomers who grew up with disney were horrified saying "you can't do that in a cartoon!" and then we millennials were doing "kill X celeb" flash animations and pushing things to the point that the genX's thought we were little psychos. But now zoomers can't handle shit, everything is scary, everything is bigoted, and every character with a friend of the same gender is actually gay.Yeah but I'm supposed to be offended at what the zoomers are up to, not just say "huh, well that's kinda gay"
