My favourite thing about this video is that she literally does the "its emotional" thing proving my statement about emotional blackmail.
Defenders be like: "you see its an emotional story about Lisa having anorexia and Bart being addicted to slushes that only lasts for half of the first act so we must like it."

I will say that many of these youtubers do agree that the show declined, they are just over-hypi9ng the slight improvements in later years.
 
Say what you will about the middle seasons, at least they tried to be funny; modern Simpsons tries too often to be heartfelt and falls flat on its face every time. The only emotion it succeeds at making me feel is depression, because of how ridiculously tired it is.
 
"No no I felt that you didn't carry the one you foolish person! Now you'll incur the penalties with the compound interest and the wrath, and the truncheons, oy glavin!"
