Actually this isn't true, not the image but the "complete apu removal" because this photo with the removed apu is next to an unaltered apu photo on the other wall. They actually released a statement saying it "wasn't intentional" but like how the fuck do you alter what's clearly a screengrab of the show to remove a dude entirely UNINTENTIONALLY?

The Kwik-E-Mart is an actual location and about as 1 to 1 as you can get which makes me even more slightly miffed there's no apu skin because I won't be able to make this real.

Way back in the '90s, I taped the audio of that "22 Short Films About Springfield" episode to an audio tape.

Found the tape over 25 years later. Still plays, but the pitch is a bit lower and slower for some reason ...

I don't play fortnite yet even I'm disappointed you can't have APU mowing down other players like that episode.

Has the show done anything to explain Apu's absence? Is the Kwik-E-Mart still in the show?
They should at least throw in a line that "Trump deported Apu" or something to explain.
The funniest replacement for the Kwik-E-Mart would be James Woods, but they're too chickenshit to hire a "canceled" actor.
The second funniest replacement would be Snake Jailbird being sentenced to work there as community service and now he's the one getting shot at.

I haven't seen any of the new episodes but Imagine they probably just use the building as abackground prop and never show the interior.

Kind of like how whenever they have scenes at Springfield Elementary they are always in the hallway or in Skinner's office to avoid bringing up the absence of Ms Krabbapel.

They list all appearances/mentions... apparently the show dropped Kwik-E-Mart altogether for like eight years but now they're referencing it again. Also lists some Apu cameos in the last year or two. Maybe they'll eventually do the needful and try to redeem him by recasting.

Yeah Krabappel is actually dead in the show. After marrying Ned Flanders(!), making him twice a widower. Maude's death in season 11 was already like the tenth time the show jumped the shark.
