iirc she's actually already done lots of permanent damage to itAlmost 30 years and Julie Kavner has yet to break her own voice for the sake of Marge's annoying scratchy voice.

Marge sounds like a recovering drug addict now.
And Homers voice was a lot deeper in Season one, Castenellata couldn't handle that voice.
Hi! I'm the unholy simulacrum of Troy MacClure! You may remember me from such horrible Simpsons episodes as "Twerking Drag Kids" and "Lisa's First Period"!resurrected voice of Phil Hartman making a joke about twerking drag kids and Lisa's first period
This show will never end.
Seasons 31 & 32 confirmed.
I wouldn't doubt that personally. Is the show super popular in other countries or something? That's the only thing I can think of that could justify this.

The reason it keeps going is for the merchandise sales. Plus they have a theme park to think of. Fox makes something like a billion a year in merchandise. I'm still surprised considering Al Jean explicitly said he wanted it to end at season 30.
I wonder if Disney will finally euthanize it? It gives them a good opportunity to reboot.
I haven't seen anything Simpsons-related in merch for years.
Try outside the USA. There's still plenty of T-shirts and toys and bullshit out there.

It is very popular in South America. There are channels that play Simpson episodes non-stop.
