everyday, i thank the lord for the simple fact that im not in unbearable pain. whenever i have a massive headache or other constant pains from various ailments i think about how i was not humble enough for the fact that i could go about my day in complete bliss only affected by the pains of the mind. even these pains of the mind are a pity compared to that of the aching pains that appear all too fast and unexpectedly so i find it best to ignore them and work past them when they are the only illness affecting me. its good to remember that beasts do not have the luxurys we take for granted and yet they are able to go on with the pain, for them the pain that we may call "unbearable" is completely bearable for there is no other choice. if the beast were to simply stop and keel over it would cease to exist and for its predator the meal it provides may aid in their own suffering, simply continuing the cycle.
I wonder how often the creatures we observe are in pain, they no doubt have a high tolerance to pain and for those whom live in the wild they are simply not allowed to show that pain however major it may be. showing their pain could easily spell death in the presence of predators, something we take for granted. we of humans are able to show pain of all sorts without fear, those of us that live in privileged societys of course.
for those not in pain i beg of you to stay humble. lest you be tied back to this plane with the pain of your mortal coil, once again.
