Yeah, this isn't gonna be his meal ticket, anything. At the end the of the Pre-Stream he lamented the lack of any "contributions". Would it be notable that his money's coming during the gameplay, instead of front-loaded from the Pre-Stream? (this being the day's second stream, it may be harder to measure against the average).

I will give him credit: I didn't expect him to play this. And I am impressed he got to 8th place.

True. Apart from the predictable "wuuuuuh I did nothing wrong I did everything correct" comments every time another player attacks him, he's playing surprisingly well.

its not impossible to stream snipe, someone could just keep matching and re matching till he gets a game that remotely looks similar to phils. and target random people until his attack lines up with phils stream. and if that doesn't work, rinse repeat

Honestly, it's just Tetris with occasional enemy attacks. If he gets lucky (I'm assuming you can't target attacks?), he just has to play tetris and do the Tetris 99 equivalent of bathroom camping.

As soon as he gets hit with anything resembling an attack, he panics and fucks up.

If you clear a number of blocks you can transfer it to another player to mess with them, the fewer players the more likely they focus on easy "kills"!

The game generally comes down to having very quick reaction speed!

Thinks he got 3rd place and celebrates it for a entire minute until chat tells him he got 4th!

To be perfectly fair, it did say 3rd place, then the placement list had him at 4th. The same thing happened earlier in the night.

We got a juicy dig at Tevin. Someone pointed out the spike in viewers. Phil attributed this to "Tevin bringing his viewbots in here".

It said 3rd since after he lost there was 3 players left!
Basically it just shows the number of players left and not your position!

I'm still calling impossible on stream sniping. Everybody gets the same pieces in the same order and you have to scan through 98 other 100 pixel height screens to find Phil. Even if you match into a game the same time as Phil, it's very improbable that you connected into his game because there's so many going on at the same time.

You don't get streamsniped in this game, you just get really unlucky with people targeting you. I've won a couple games of Tetris 99, but I've also went out in 99th place because I got shit on by 4 people right at the start.

i fully believe phil was getting unlucky, just pointing out that yes it is possible to be exceptional enough TO stream snipe games like this
