The English ones are the best because they can actually make a citizen's arrest and hold them there until the pigs show up. They always call them too. Never seen one where they didn't. They're also pretty savvy about the law, and the videos aren't released until after a conviction.

For real, these nonce stingers are counter productive as far as I'm aware or at least I've heard. I've heard before that they end up giving the nonces an edge in a court case because they can say that they were forced to admit under duress or whatever and get off that way.

Does no one in the community understand that most, if not all, of the evidence that they collect to prove that a pedo is a pedo can't be used in court? Then again, I'd expect nothing less from clout-chasing idiots with no understanding of the law.

Also, the entire point of these videos is to supposedly catch pedos, but since they're publicly available nothing stops a would-be pedo from viewing the videos and figuring out how not to get caught by them.

Have any of you seen Mr 17540? I wouldn't call myself a fan but I've followed him for a while. He definitely also yells shit in public like "this man came here to have sex with a 15 year old girl", which is cringe. He released a compilation of all the people from his videos that got charged, so at least something came of it.

I have mixed opinions about this genre. Some of it is obviously for content and is degenerate exploitation, but some of it seems to have some positive effect since there is evidently no shortage of retarded pedophiles who will drive 10+ hours to see a child they met online that they have no proof is actually a real person.

I don't actually believe that watching these videos will help the ones that end up on the videos because you have to be dumb to not have any plan for the fact that any child talking to you online might be fake and you could get caught. The pedos that are this low IQ will never get smarter by watching this content, but the ones who aren't this dumb are less likely to end up on these videos in the first place bc they will manipulate the situation in their favor to make sure there's at least a real potential victim.

I could be wrong. Maybe it's completely bad and it does help marginally retarded pedos evade capture, but I have a difficult time believing that the ones caught on video have more than three brain cells to do anything with in the first place.

The big issue with YouTube predator content is how some of the catchers conduct themselves, as they use very questionable methods to retain the predator on scene for content. There are some good predator catchers, and there are a lot of shitty ones

I think this one works well because of how it happens. Instead of forcing him to call his wife and essentially blackmailing him, his wife calls and shitstorm kicks right off. Seeing as how most pedo-catchers evidence is ignored by prosecutors - I doubly enjoy when the catcher coerces the pedos to rat themselves out to their friends/family or employer. Also points go to standing up to violent/hostile pedos even if it only produces a recording The Jerry Springer Show would be proud of. That thread's whole point is only about people having a disproportionate overreaction to works of pure fiction. This thread is about not just predators after real children but both the successes and behind-the-scenes drama of the people who bait said predators, as well as the legal consequences (or unfortunate lack thereof) resulting from the predators being caught entirely in some civilian-orchestrated youtube stunt. The only real "overlap" is the twitter addicts catalogued in the loli crusader thread probably imagine themselves as being on the same level as these pedo hunters whenever they're typing up some twitter rant about fanart of an anime character the wiki says is 17 or some shit. Not that the pedohunter channels don't have their own problems (mainly that their antics often result in the predators walking free due to legal technicalities about entrapment, if they ever bother even reporting them in the first place), but at least you can say they actually put in some form of effort in trying to stop actual child abuse.

Almost none of these guys call the cops and they are all grifters of the highest caliber. I got into watching these for a while and the whole thing is just grimy, the catchers are just as bad as the predators. I used to watch Alex Rosen a lot and he forces his lame political shit into his catches and he just looks like a weirdo doing it.

Ultimately these guys are doing more harm than good but the fact that they catch so many really makes a case for dedicating more police resources to catching pedophiles.
