The Problem With Colin Farrell's Penguin Transformation - Lol not fat

If they did cast an actor who literally looked like a fat penguin I bet they would complain he'd been typecast and that he wasn't cast as Batman instead.

Also, no one wants a dadbod Batman, gimme a break. Who are all these movie fans who don't like make-believe and movie magic?
 
For what reason does Batman need to be ripped? He literally wears an armored suit, and the best interpretations tend to rely on stealth tactics as opposed to brute force in a fight (not to the mention the fact it's acting!).

Somebody actually wrote this? While stealth is part of Batman's arsenal, he also physically subdues violent criminals. Stop being retarded you fucking faggot.

Yeah, I mean the thing is, part of the reason Batman can be Batman is that he's in peak physical condition. It's a plot point in Knightfall that the sustained wear and tear of fighting all the escaped rogues is what offers Bane his opportunity to "break the bat", ie Bruce cannot physically or mentally hold up to weeks of that on end without properly resting up.

Imagine fangirls crying out in despair if you suggested Nightwing should be a schlubby guy with no tone.

HBC improves everything UNLESS it's a Burton film, in which case the inverse is typically true.

Tilda Swinton kills it in just about any role I've seen her in, but I have mixed feelings about Helena Bonham Carter.

But regardless, Colin Farrel is by a wide margin the best part of Daredevil, so this is probably going to be the first comic book movie I've seen in 5 years.

One thing I definitely liked about the Nolan movies is the dangerous vibe you got from all of Bats' adversaries.

Batman's an incredibly dangerous, intimidating and scary person, and his Rogues' Gallery should feel really dangerous too, and not too comical and lightweight. Like they're actually a match for him and could definitely beat him under the right circumstances. They shouldn't be beaten easily like Batman routinely does with street toughs and hired muscle.

I wouldn't want to spend even 30 seconds alone in a room with Ra's Al-Ghul, Joker or Bane. I could be killed instantly and without a second thought by any of them, and for no reason.

First, I'm mostly just excited to get a more serious Riddler.

Second, smh at the man-penguin job erasure by giving man-penguin roles to non men-penguins. Also Colin Farrell's an amazing actor so I don't doubt that HE'LL at least be good. The, uh, "author" of this article's just mad. And stupid for suggesting that Batman shouldn't be physically fit.

I've joked with you on this very topic before, but I'm not gonna lie... Michelle Pfeifer was a damn fine looking (cat)woman... like 30 years ago. I will un-ironically call her the sexiest live action catwoman of all time in my opinion (Eartha Kitt was pretty close). But no... I don't want to see 62 year old Michelle Pfeifer reprise that role.

And if you were thinking it, I actually really liked Keaton as Batman at the time, but I also really don't want to see him reprise that role at 68 either...
Unless he was playing super old Bruce in the never gonna happen live action adaptation of Batman Beyond that is.

And yeah I know he's gonna be in that Ezra movie. I'll probably skip it.
