The Ragebait/Garbage Dump Megathread - Containment zone for "satire", fake news, and general low effort articles that were shat out for engagement and reactions

You might have noticed. Alt-right circles are buzzing with anti-cannibal fervor, and their toxic sludge is once again seeping onto social media. Even if you don’t follow any right-of-center accounts, the algos are dripfeeding video after video of what is purported to be Haitian cannibalism into all our timelines.

But what is cannibalism, and why is the right so eager to demonize it? If you are to believe the reactionaries, cannibalism is the act of eating another human being for some unspecified malicious reason. It’s really bad juju and definitely done under the influence of Satan, or George Soros (or both at the same time).

Quelle surprise: the imagery and notions underpinning this latest moral panic couldn’t be further from the truth. Cannibal culture is wide and varied, and has accompanied our species since the dawn of time. Cannibalism is often a deeply spiritual practice, or a desperate act undertaken in times of famine or war, or a sacred act meant to honor a revered dead (endocannibalism).

Science agrees with the need for reality-based views on cannibalism.

The Aztecs, for instance, utilized cannibalism in rituals. They believed that their sun god, Huitzilopochtli, was waging a war against darkness. Sacrifices were necessary to aid Huitzilopochtli in this war. Though it might seem gruesome to spoiled western cosmopolitans — who very well might imagine the people sacrificed to be tied up and having this act performed against their will — most evidence suggests that these people were willing participants. It was considered a great honor to aid the sun god, and those who offered themselves to the cause were treated with great reverence.

After the sacred, voluntary, ritual was completed, ritual cannibalism commenced. The Aztec nobles believed that eating someone that had offered themselves to the gods was considered to be like communing with them. It was not just normal to be eaten by a fellow human being; it was considered a great honor.

Though cannibalism has been an accepted practice for millennia, disgust for cannibalism is a relatively new phenomena. Cannibalism has been documented in European societies well into the 1800s. During the Renaissance it was thought that certain parts of the body had healing effects, and the consumption of these parts was known as medicinal cannibalism.

Science explains how cannibalism solves the food shortage problem and is environmentally friendly.

Public executions were seen as social events from the Middle Ages up until the mid-1800s, and the blood of the executed was sometimes considered to have medicinal healing powers (especially if the person executed was of notable status or had been convicted of a particularly heinous crime). People would gather at executions with cups or cloths to collect the blood directly as it flowed from the scaffold. This practice was rooted in the belief that the vitality of the executed person’s blood could cure ailments or diseases when consumed.

While this practice has declined since public executions disappeared, the use of human parts in medicine is still not uncommon. Fetal stem cells are used in numerous medical treatments. For example, umbilical cord blood (UCB) stem cells are widely used in the treatment of hematological disorders (Watt and Contreras, 2005), and fetal neural tissue has been associated with some clinical improvement in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease (Lindvall and Bjorklund, 2004).

So if cannibalism, the consumption of human matter by other humans, is so widespread, why is Haiti being criticized for this?

The answer is plain to see, if you only care to look. When Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crashed in the Andes mountains and the survivors stayed alive for several months by consuming human flesh, we immortalized them as heroes.

More recently, Haiti was called a “shithole country” by one Donald Trump — who at the same time praised countries like North Korea and Russia.

What do those people and countries have that Haiti does not?

The answer, of course, is whiteness. And there you have it.

The dark rise of anti-cannibal canards is simply the latest in a long line of attempts by the right to demonize black bodies. The people of Haiti are living their lives the way they want to. It might not be the way you would live yours; but then again, the way you live your life is certainly not the way a Haitian would want to live theirs, either.

We should not criticize cultures for being different from us. We should be praising these differences. Diversity is a core pillar of the American way, and is what built this country.

Haiti is simply the latest culture to re-normalize something that was always normal. Something that is in many ways religious, and sacred, and beautiful. Something intimate that us Americans will never experience with our primitive worldviews formed by a capitalist ruling class inundating us with anti-cannibal movie screen propaganda.

It really shouldn’t have to be said, but Hannibal Lector is not in any way representative of what most cannibals are like. Very few cannibals are murderers. Cannibalism is a sacred process to countless cultures, and it is deeply unfair — bigoted even — to judge them simply because we do not understand.

You eat pork, don’t you? People from middle eastern cultures look at you the same way you look at cannibals.

So be kind, and open your mind.

The morality of this is a debated topic.

Emergencies require emergency action.

It is.

What do those people and countries have that Haiti does not?
  • Rule of law
  • Food
  • A government

Damn nigga I wonder why.
The 1804 massacre was carried out against the remaining white population of French colonists[130] and loyalists,[131] both enemies and traitors of the revolution,[132] by the black population of Haiti on the order of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, who declared the French as barbarians, demanding their expulsion and vengeance for their crimes.[133][134] The massacre—which took place in the entire territory of Haiti—was carried out from early February 1804 until 22 April 1804. During February and March, Dessalines traveled among the cities of Haiti to assure himself that his orders were carried out. Despite his orders, the massacres were often not carried out until he personally visited the cities.[135]
The course of the massacre showed an almost identical pattern in every city he visited. Before his arrival, there were only a few killings, despite his orders.[136] When Dessalines arrived, he first spoke about the atrocities committed by former French authorities, such as Rochambeau and Leclerc, after which he demanded that his orders about mass killings of the area's French population be carried out. Reportedly, he also ordered the unwilling to take part in the killings, especially men of mixed-race, so that blame would not rest solely on the black population.[111] Mass killings then took place on the streets and on places outside the cities. In parallel to the killings, plundering and rape also occurred.[111] Women and children were generally killed last. White women were "often raped or pushed into forced marriages under threat of death".[111]
By the end of April 1804, some 3,000 to 5,000 people had been killed[137] practically eradicating the country's white population.

Glad to know muslims are equal to cannibals.

It's honestly really hard to tell because a lot of the 'About' section on how to be better white ally was unironically a mantra on places like Buzzfeed a decade ago. I think the primary giveaway of the article is the AI art of black people eating human entrails as whitey glowers in what I assume is colonialist disapproval.

The "our species" part is doing a majority of the heavy lifting in your argument. As for your explanations, famine, war, and disaster are to be understood as a last resort; that is, there are no longer any rules, you either eat or die; the rest of your examples are partakings of primitive cultures, where eating their heart will grant you their strength and other things you'd be mocking if you could tie it to Christianity. One could almost argue cannibalism is archaic, nasty, and only in extreme times of turmoil and we have done away with it, the same way you'd argue we've done away with chattel slavery; but you have some weird fucking axe to grind, so you're gonna die on this extremely retarded fucking hill.

Ah yes, the Aztecs, quite literally one of the most murderous fucking societies to ever fucking exist. Yes, let's argue in defense of their Sun God and people being willing participants to commune with their God. Again, if Christianity was attempting to do this, you'd suggest we break out the torches and pitchforks.

Yes, because "medicine" back then was based on "The Humors;" and people believed you could crack the skull open to free the evil spirits making you sick. FUCKING AGAIN! If anyone in modern day was arguing for archaic medicine, especially let's say birth control, you'd be flipping out.

While this practice has declined since public executions disappeared, the use of human parts in medicine is still not uncommon. Fetal stem cells are used in numerous medical treatments. No one is chowing down on umbilical cords like we're in Bloodborne, this is explicitly medicinal and in a lab environment. I get you're really trying to make an argument, but for fuck's sakes this is absolutely retarded.

A collective IQ over 65, the ability to answer the breakfast quandry successfully, math, science, medicine, civilization.

When the World Wars kicked off and the government started rationing shit; people grew gardens and did other things to get by, they didn't grab their rifle and make a run on their neighbors for some long pig. This bitch is making me angry, I legitimately want to hold her fucking head under water until she stops kicking. This is why I'm racist, this is why I fucking hate most black people, this retarded fucking shit, said without irony, when we were done with the farm equipment, we should've dumped it all in the sea like we do with modern warships.

You eat pork, don’t you? People from middle eastern cultures look at you the same way you look at cannibals.
Muslims look at cannibalism the same way, it's barbaric. I'm also now willing to say they did nothing wrong by castrating the slaves they bought, they did shit right.

This is definitely satire haha. Is this site legitimate or no?

This made me realize there's a market void for a Babylon Bee-esque satire site about nigger antics. You know, other than the Pidgin version of existing outlets.
"We cracked open the skulls of 10 albinos, the results will shock you!"

Dear Pinko Faggots: you have overused terms like "racists" or "fascists" and "bigot" to the point that they no longer have any meaning. Most normal people no longer care that you try to shame them into silence by calling them racist or some kind of ista-phobe. Your power to shame people into silence and control the narrative is dying a quick death.

Cannibalism has no place in civilized society. The savages who still practice cannibalism have no place in civilized society. If a people is so backward and incompetent that their government collapsed and society failed to the point that they had to resort to cannibalism to survive then they are obviously a people who will be a burden and a liability to any nation that allows them to enter. They will be no kind of benefit to any culture that hosts them. They are not welcome and should stay in their shitty home country to either eat each other to death, or figure out a way to repair their fucked up system. If you want to help them so badly then make your way over there and offer your services. See how that works out for you. Just make sure you pre-season yourself before they mount you on the spit. After all, you want to be polite and make yourself useful for them, right?

Here we go. Still, I know for a fact there are leftoids who are into defending actual cannibals. There is a simple solution to this. Send them straight to the Cannibals to enjoy their BBQ face up.

I could definitely see the woke going this way unironically. They probably (hopefully) wouldn't go so far as to endorse murder, but some culture where they consume the bodies of people who died? Who are you to question their culture, you white istaphobic bigot?

Thanks for clearing that up, I feel better.
Not by very much, but some. :semperfidelis:
Were there seriously people here thinking this was real? It's the same level of gimmick-posting I used to do, I know people are black pilled but Leftist loons aren't quite at this stage yet.

Welcome to the new world where AI write all clickbait.
Please, I also want an article about "why are white people against reparations? They benefitted from slavery!"
It is a very interesting topic to read about, do you think you could generate a few thousand articles on this topic until tomorrow?
