I think in this case alternative parenting means letting the kid do whatever he wants and teaching him that the world revolves around him and his desires. It also involves not disciplining the kid or saying no because that is abusive and would damage their self-esteem.

Alternative parenting seems to be less about choosing/enforcing what's best for the child and more about hoping they develop the skills to choose the correct path on their own. Sounds great in theory until you realize most kids are morons and many parents use the guise of alternative parenting to justify their constant enabling. This explains a generation of entitled young adults and why you can now eat Reese's for breakfast. Yeah. REESE'S for BREAKFAST.

Hey, maybe we can use Chris to scare kids/parents like them straight. Present them with Chris info as a cautionary tale to show them where that road leads.
