So I checked who edits his videos and this is what I got:

Who the fuck needs that many editors for internet drama videos?

9 editors for a single video, this seems expensive. On patreon he makes 650$ and he seems to make 2-5 videos a month. He should be loosing money from this right? Or am I overestimating how much editors get paid?

I like both but for different reasons.

I like The Right Opinion for his more level headed commentary on drama and that he goes back and does the history of the people he covers backstories as a way to give added context to a more recent event rather than just covering the drama as if it occurred in a vacuum.

I like Down the Rabbit Hole because of his style of content where he does a deep dive into a topic whether it be a lolcow, an idea, a group, a game or form of media. I like his objective coverage of events and that he doesn't really let his personal opinions slip into his content. His content is basically documentaries on weird topics.

If i had to pick one it would probably be Down the Rabbit Hole simply because I enjoy his style more and that he covers things that are more interesting to me.

Count me in as someone proud to have found Down the Rabbit Hole as something to watch in general; I don't know who this other guy is, but he sounds like and comes off like an Also Ran / SJWBS-er whose better off ranting about cartoons/especially anime: everything about his name alone screams Entard on fucking steroids. If not THAT, he sounds like just another drama commentator / digger-upper at worst. YouTube doesn't need MORE noise like this plaguing it, neither!

IMO his content is the worst of both worlds. He makes video essay analyses but instead of "why (kids' cartoon) is problematic" videos he makes them about Youtube drama. It comes off like he felt above being a commentary channel but still wants to cover those topics which is just pretentious.

I found about him because of the autistic back and forth Rags and IHE had over The Last Jedi (he helped with IHE's video). Needless to say that already lowered my opinion of him.

I used to watch both but I dropped TRO and settled on Down the Rabbit Hole.

This mainly came to TRO having a pretentious tone that takes internet drama way too seriously, overediting his videos which do not need that much editing, and just coming across as boring.

Down the Rabbit Hole keeps things consistent and has a more pleasant voice to listen to. He also brings up information that is unknown about a subject even if you were familiar with them, and serves as a good introduction to obscure/weird people or events.

I'm gonna be the few and say i prefer TRO. Hes a chill dude that i have talked to irl at a convention, I watch him due to his internet personality drama videos which are done way better than drama alert.

I have watched DTRH but grew bored of the few videos of his after 10 minutes. Wasn't for me really overall though i see a clear line that they do the same type of content but different kinds of topics.

One criticism i would say with TheRightOpinion is some of his editors take editing to the extreme and put like every effect and filter one to the point where its no longer viewerble(others are ok though

You spoke to him at a convention but I spoke to him in a business-sense back when we were both small Youtubers. He's a total fucking asshole who only puts on an amiable facade.

Down The Rabbit Hole, hands down. Never even heard of the other guy.

DTRH is the best, but I'll admit I'm also a huge fan of Justin Whang's "Tales From The Internet" and "Gaming Mysteries" videos as well as a lot of Pseudiom's stuff, which tends to be more about stuff that's more obscure or is philosophical without being too pretentious.

Personally, I'm hoping either Fredrik Knudsen or Justin Whang eventually cover Deagle Nation at some point. An episode on ADF would be good for Knudsen to do, not so sure how Whang would approach it.
