You've seen 'em. You know 'em. You probably are one of 'em. Security guarding attracts loners, autists, and blue-collar guys hoping they just sit at a screen and watch the cameras all day. There are some of them that carry a rifle at a nuclear plant, but good luck getting the DoE to clear you with your posting history. You think they haven't read your Lolcow Salon messages? Think again.
These hopeless losers can bet on dealing with genetic and meth-induced hyper-fixation while on the job. Just hope the CNS-fried Methchu doesn't have a problem with your stab-wound free chest. Though while working | || || |_ prevention the chromosomal dead-end retard's stank will probably make you wish for a spot at the Emergency Department at the most bullet-hole ridden hospital in Detroit.
Working security is often a step up in pay compared to fast-food and retail. However those are getting competitive compared to the former, though. I've been seeing a lot of guys jump ship recently, mostly because lightly technical and municipal jobs that simply require a slightly older and responsible adult start a $20+ bare minimum, and they get $25+ starting because they've passed a background check in the last five years.
I just started a new gig in healthcare. Nothing I didn't expect, but chasing the same brain-damaged fuck down multiple flights of stairs from the highest floor in the tallest tower gets old after the first time. Also, nursing staff are useless. Expect you're going to die the next time you enter a hospital.
