I fucking Hate the modern sims community. All of these people are insufferable irl. If I had to sum up the sims community today it would be a ranting obese black girl doing makeup and talking about how racist it is of EA to not include skin tones she wants and how 3 is better but is still going to buy the next pack anyway: https://youtu.be/C_m6wuJYjcY
That channel banner gives me chills.
https://youtu.be/fZhi2bSdXnQ - this is why ghetto fashion is trash and why sims 4 clothes look so trashy/childish and unrefined. The dev team thinks these trashy types are the target market.
The only time I play the queer gay couples is to
-Make them hate each other/ live in a urine infested lot until they die.
-kill them and replace them with sims I actually want to play
-make one of the sims straight and abuse the other gay sim while moving in the sidehoe. Make a 2x2 room for the ugly/shunned gay sim to live in and paint pictures over and over again. Before doing so make every relationship bar red so everytime they need to socialise they get yelled at.

A Russian Simmer posted these sets of tweets today, saying that EA's decision to not release the GP for Russia is not because they weren't allowed to do so, but it was done purely for virtue signaling:

It was also reported that several other CIS countries, i.e. Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, will also be unable to purchase the GP.

Also, former SimGuruRuskii posted this reasoning about why EA will not release the GP in Russia, but again it sounds like EA is trying to virtue signal:

EA also revealed the new world for the GP, Tartosa, which has a lot of empty set dressing and very few lot spaces:

The Sims Team also livestreamed the GP today, and it turned out to be an absolute shitshow:

It was also reported that chat was disabled during the stream, because people were spamming "Weddings For Russia" prior to the start of it.

Paying 20 dollars for 9 lots? Is it that hard to make another world like willow creek? The people will buy it anyway.

It appears that EA actually did make a Russian localization for the new GP, which can be seen if you set the in-game language to Russian (on the locales where that is an option), so it's more proof that EA's publicity stunt is out of spite and to virtue signal.

Well, people are now memeing the My Wedding Stories SP fiasco:

FLY96NlWQAAOmho.jpg

It looks like EA's original decision about the My Wedding Stories GP was for virtue signaling, and to generate buzz after all, as they will be releasing it in Russia with the original game cover, and the release of the GP will be on February 23.

Presumably, it's to try to clean up the bugfest mess that was shown during the livestream, but given how flawed TS4 is at it's core, I don't see that doing much. And there's still no mention about the other countries where LGBT is forbidden, i.e. the various African, Arab, and Pacific Island countries.

EA also released a base game patch that allows you to set Sims up as Fiance in CAS, and also added a Wedding Venue lot type. Unfortunately, you can't even hold a Wedding at a Wedding Venue, in typical EA fashion.

1645064693314.png 1645064831335.png

The patch also introduced this bug as well, and added some new Formal dresses, with one of the swatches being for the typical EA non-subtle LGBT pandering.

EA Creator Network members, which is clearly a "not re-branded version of EA Game Changers", are also getting to play the game early, and the videos showcase the total shitshow that is this GP:

The videos also state that this is not the final version of the GP, but I can't see anything that EA would be able to fix with the short delay of the GP release, even if it's something really stupid like "using a 3+ month or so old build" excuse that Battlefield 2042 had.

I really wish they would fire the lgbt’s on the sims team because those wedding dresses are so ugly with the rainbow. I know the sim team were pro gay and had always had the ability to create gay sims but at least in the sims 3 and 2 it wasnt shoved in your face and they focused on gameplay instead of virtue signaling. Its like companies always pick the worst out of that community when it comes to hire no talent no passion or anything… just gay.

Does EA really have lgbt employees in the sims team tho? You'd think a gay man would come up with a better wedding dress design (I'm talking about the one with the gay pride flag).

That stereotype was for back then when gays focused on talents and hobbies to prove themselves instead of getting a pass for being gay. Times have changed. Look at all these idiots showing the pronoun updates. They all talked about their pronouns and honestly showed more passion talking about their identity than they do on gameplay. Ive never seen simgurus not look as bored talking about the sims until I saw this. The livestream of the wedding pack was so boring and lackluster. But of course a whole bunch of narcs are satisified talking about themselves instead of something else.

The sad thing about this, even though the earlier livestreams for TS4 were also painful to watch, at least the SimGurus back then sound like they had passion (sort of), and were proud of their work, even if it turned out to be a total crapfest. This gameplay walkthrough video, featuring SimGurus Ryan Vaughan and Graham Nardone, is one example.

Ryan did eventually leave The Sims Team, I believe it was sometime shortly after TS4's release, and I think Graham is still on The Sims Team, although I'm not sure if he appears on gameplay streams.

EA also has been mandating for LGBT stuff to be in all (?) of their releases, I think it's Laura Miele that's in charge of that. That's also why you have other things like Sundance in Battlefield 2042 being identified as non-binary, even though pronouns would be one of the least important things in an FPS game based on War.

And modders have to fix all of EA's messes with this GP, as usual.

And not surprisingly, even though the GP got updated, it's still broken.

Aww why don't I get any notifications when there are new posts in this thread?
Now that Russia has declared war to Ukraine, I wonder what the fans who cried so hard for Russians a week ago have to say?

The timing of MWS's delayed release, and Russia's war declaration, gives me the conspiracy theory that Putin himself played The Sims 4 and the MWS GP. When he realized how broken the GP was, he then declared war on Ukraine, out of spite.

1645917527783.png

And with only 8 people on QA, out of the 138 people that worked on MWS, and only 15 engineers, compared to 42 people on the Art team, it's no wonder why this GP is buggy as fuck. It also shows that TS4 is being manned by just a skeleton crew, while most of the other devs are presumably working on TS5.

Habemus new kit. It's called Décor to the Max and will be released on March 21. I don't know what the fuck it is supposed to be. I like Kitsch decoration, but some of the objects are ugly.

(I can't load the fucking images. I'll wait and try again later)
