It feels like they're full of excuses. They say they can't do pools, toddlers, etc. and a while later it comes, blowing what they said out of the water.

Buzz Grunt is a sim from The Sims 2 in the neighborhood Strangetown who gets in fights with pretty much every sim in town. Naturally, this makes him an "abuser" and "problematic" in the eyes of Strangetown obsessed simmers.

We already saw how global pricing can deter people from playing it in Artifact, in which even their $20 price tag (in addition to pack costs) is extremely high for SA, SEA, and CIS countries, countries that also happen to have a good-sized part of the DOTA 2 player base, in addition to the other problems that the game has.

These are actually reasonable justifications for not introducing the features, they have limited manhours to finish everything, so they must choose what's easier to implement. They're just being professional and omitting the fact EA is squeezing them dry with each game, demanding more for less, which leads to making such choices to constantly cut corners in the first place.

okay so i just went through this thread a bit seeing as I have been playing the sims since 2000 and like....what...why do people make sex mods for this game? and a rape mod? I am disgusted. Like, why can't they all just be like every other Sims player and make your sims live stupid, boring lives just to die from drowning in a pool

No one's going to bring up the fact Sims 1 had a nuisance animal that made messes, woke up your sims in the middle of night with loud noises, and wouldn't leave unless you called the animal equivalent of ICE?

Out of all the games in the series, TS2 probably has the most bat shit insane fans. Between the sperging over premades and getting extremely mad if anyone even remotely criticizes the game it's wild. It is also quite common to see them shit on fans of the other Sims games and claim their community is the best despite being just as awful as the rest.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Sim Secret is just a giant circle jerk among the bigger name TS2 players.

the thing with sims 2 is that it's been out for 15 fucking years at this point, so the community's had a looooooong time for its cancer to really sink in. most of the mid-20 something cat ladies [dreadpirate, pooklet, etc.] who still run ts2 simblrs today and dream about punching terfs in the cheek (uwu) were the same 15 year olds writing godawful harry potter slash fics on livejournal and making shitty ts2 teen pregnancy amvs set to mcr. they never moved the fuck on which is why they're still shitting themselves over the same old premades and nasty ass makeovers to this day

i totally understand not wanting to move on from sims 2 because tbh 3 and especially 4 aren't really that great, but for the last few years there's been this running narrative among sims 2 players that their community is the best because they're so tight-knit and the game is so old that surely most of the drama whores have moved on by now. but it's fucking obvious that they're still wasting away on tumblr, bitching about those damn dirty nazis or gender issues, and asking for lunch money over paypal when they can't pay the rent

also i was sorta chummy with the dude who runs simsecret now [prah] back when i kinda orbited the ts2 scene and he was and still is a major sims 2 player, which i guess explains why there's some bias towards sims 2 secrets
