so I did the stupid event and its stupid and broke to high hell, like first okay my sims arrive but ea despite updating my fucking game weekly still has sims who dawdle and just congregate in crowds no where near the event place, and not only that it was like one fucking song in simlish, by a literally who, and disappointed that it wasn't online where other players can intend just a sad half assed gimmick poorly planned and shat out in typical ea fashion.

tbh I will probably get it any way because again need a neighborhood for my Marie Antoinette sim to larp as a cottagecore maid before getting the old head chop and to send my dirty peasants/unwanted sims to farm for the royal household until they die. it also offer stuff like lmao cross stictching to keep my lady sims engaged so they can stop thinking about other things other than siring heirs for my medieval play through, and give my poor and middle class sims a chance to farm their way in to another class type so they have money to marry into higher classes. granted less lacking in content for the universal player but offers more for a subset that creative simmers can do.

Kaguya fox charges money for assets ripped from video games, not even original meshes, nope lets just rip shit from video games high poly count and all and have people pay for the privilege of crashing your game by rip offs with little to no optimization.

and she isnt the only one doing it, yes I totally want to spend 5 per cc creator for half assed work that is one update of bad cc away from a total game crash. Never mind the the fact its work is shit tier, if you were to spend 5 dollars for atleast 20 different cc creators you'd be paying 100 atleast a month and thats only if they choose not to fuck around with tier changes, Imagine you paid eat 1000+ for your games, and thats assuming you didn't wait on sale to buy or pirate them, then on top of that your paying 1200 a year, and thats a conservative estimate for things that in previous games would've been free of charge. and this isn't like a mod or unofficial game packs, this is shit to dress your sims in and fill your houses with, stuff that add little to no value game play wise.
Now I am not like against being paid for work, no on the contrary if you make a decent product worth buying, then yes you should be paid for it in a reasonable and fair way. I'm not above being paid for honest work. But if your rip meshes from other games, like freaking optimize them by reducing the poly counts, like and its not even hard to do if you have a simple mesh, I literally back in sims 2 days had to rip some meshes from other games, and then go ahead when that didn't work built a fraken mesh from scrap just so my game wouldnt conk out. I did it for free as a hobby, and not saw a single cent for my work, now if I have a mesh that I feel is worth money, its my best work, and I don't pay wall iti for long, lmao its just I think with these new cc creators they just graduated from some liberal school and think lmao their shit is a work of art when some of it really crashes my game, I learned basic meshing by myself with a ged a high school drop out, as a hobby for a game series I love, and saw not a single cent for until recently. its just irks me yes some work is involved in ripping and stealing meshes, but it takes effort to optimize the mesh for it run in your game well. A game like resident evil especially village the newest one is extremely high poly by default because the meshes were made to run on gaming systems like the xbox one, or ps4 to 5, it wouldn't work in the sims 4 because beside spagethi code that would make yandere dev look competent, the game is designed for a lower end poly rate, it already has issues running the ai with out mods with random townies generate outfits and you run the risk of crashing your game if their out fit contains a high poly piece of clothing. Basically at this point for most creators its not only a better way but a duty to pirate the cc because like ea, they're churning out garbage underneath entitlement.

If you just showed this picture, without any context, you would think that this is for a Stuff Pack, given how few items are included.

Also, the Calendar system that was introduced in the Seasons EP, will be added to the game as a Base Game feature for all players.

Rebeccah did release a corrected version, but that one mistake that was essentially EA's fault and not Rebeccah's caused her to get a shitton of undeserved hate. This video sums it up rather nicely:

The author of it made a video on another cursed piece of CC that acted similarly to Girl Doll Dressed. This only shows how badly EA fucked up with Sims 3 codebase. Wayyyy worse than what you'd see with Sims 2 corruption.

I'm looking at overviews of Cottage Living and it's fun how EA made sure to make the packs inspired by Polynesia and Japan Polynesian and Japanese but for the pack with a world inspired by rural England they didn't just ignore that 98% of the countryside is white but actively made it as "diverse" as possible.

Actualy sims 2 had/has a similar issue. Look up super duper hug bug.
Basically there was an interaction within the game code that was never implemented. Some early modders found the code for it and used that code as a base for adding new interactions to the game. Problem was that if you removed a mod using that code the OG inteaction would appear in the sim pie menu casing issues when sims tried to autonomously perform it.
But the worsts part of it is that the bug would attach itself to lots so if a player with an infected game shared their builds any one who downloaded from them whould have their games infected as well. Only way to 100% get rid of it was to reinstall AND delete your old saves. 0therwise if you reinstalled but then loaded up an old lot the game would be reinfected.
And unlike with the doll glitch in TS3 the underlineing issue causing the bug (or any of the millions of other corruption issues) was never fixed. Modders simply learned as a community to stop using that code and mods that used it were either abandoned or replaced with ones with proper coding.

I made a chef sim that had all three dietary traits (Child of the Ocean means no seafood, Vegetarian and Lactose intolerant), thankfully some desserts are still ok so they can still make a killing as pastry chefs and die of diabteetus.

Also the HOB should be called the POZ, a totally not Brokeback mountain elderly couple, black brother and sister duo running the Pub and a mixed race family. No blue blood brits officially. Especially after how Snowy Escape had absolutely no lgbtwq+ and only one mixed Couple

i honestly think they don't want to put horses because of lot sizing, so they added a cheap equivalent, ze llamas for both pathing and because muh maxis llamas jokes.

I agree, plus as we've seen time and time again, they don't have the budget/creativity/flexibility/whatever to make what players really want. They've been lazy and half-assed since the beginning of Sims 4 and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Now and then we'll get a good pack, and I do think some people on the team do try, but overall it's just not happening due to the structure of their bureaucracy.

Apparently, it only took The Sims 4 Team 7 years to realize the lack of depth in TS4, and is hosting an AMA session next week Thursday to get feedback. And it's not like the EA Team will even do anything about the game to fix the said lack of game depth, given how they love to use the excuses of "it's too hard and expensive to implement feature X, which is why we implemented feature Y instead, because it's part of our vision."

Also, given how long TS4 has been out, it's reminding me of Rainbow6 Siege, in that it is possible to update a game too much.

The funniest part about the whole hijabi conversation is how you'll have a bunch of "queer" focused simmers chastising EA but then they turn around and have hijabi sims mixing with their queer and trans sims. More than anything, those kind of fans chase away the "diverse" players they always claim are intimidated by the overtly white fanbase.

Like think about it, imagine a muslim hijab wearing simmer with a tumblr. How long until she's hounded off the internet for lack of queer representation? I have also noticed black simmers who make being queer a huge part of their game always end up with a majority white fanbase.
