the ones i know in person hate it, heard complaints about the new update from them since i don't play sims 4. Anyone online won't say shit cause the hive will eat you alive. There's still some alright let's players for sims 2 on youtube that don't add trannies and all that crap to their game, they're older and usually married with kids so a little more level headed.

Most tumblrites are pretty bad at video games, the sims (later installments) takes no skill, and you can download many mods and cc to make it whatever you want.

Is it really that surprising a bunch of loser women like a game that for the most part is basically just playing dressup, decorating and making the dolls kiss eachother and reproduce? Especially when they can easily alter the game to make them vigilito hetrochromia tranny teenage mpreg yaoi yiffers that actually fuck? Or ratchett black kweens that strip, prostitute themselves and engage in gang wars? Or just the most boring storylines with boring generic characters you can think of for the extra basic types. And sims 4 has even removed stuff like robbers for the more sensitive audiences.

What else do you think theyd play, halo? The (current) sims is like the Taylor Swift of games. Especially now that EA keeps catering to them and making mass amounts of money by individually releasing bland scraps.

Inmates run the asylum. The tumblrtards and allies got DEI hired by EA and involved with decisions for The Sims 4. You cannot turn most of their shit off, you cannot mod the worst of it out, and most importantly they made the games completely soulless and not fun to play at a most basic level even if you could fix the surface level issues.

They have run off most of the remotely sane or uniquely autistic fans (the ones that devoted themselves to competently making core game mods, or made top notch historical/scifi/fantasy CC), leaving a bunch of useless no-skill dumbasses and no-fun-allowed autists (and gay men that make good CC furniture). The game is such a reflection of the current clownshow of diversity and ugliness going on, and in a decade or two, as people look back, will reflect how truly gay and retarded everything became.

it's like 1% of the population that has it but now every townie will be walking around with it. There's vitiligo mods for the sims 2 cause for some reason everyone is obsessed with it now, I only use it for my half alien half human sims though. Tons of the previews for sims 2 cc also use it now, but at least with sims 2 you won't get any townies spawning with it. It's gonna be all pear shaped disabled trannies in hijabs with vitiligo walking around in sims 4.

There are mods that remove the ugly accessories already made by people. Also, if the vitiligo becomes too common and you want it out, you can make an override cc with an empty texture file and that should remove the vitiligo texture from the game. It isn't difficult, Sims 4 Studio has plenty of tutorials for making game content overrides.

I believe the majority of players left after EAxis excessively milked The Sims 4 franchise, releasing subpar packs and expansions "simply because". These expansions, which could have been combined into a single comprehensive expansion similar to those seen in The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, were instead separated into a gorillion packs (fun fact, it costs a whopping $1K+ to own ALL of the packs and expacs of TS4). Additionally, most of the original Maxis team responsible for designing The Sims 1 to The Sims 3 left the company to pursue other projects.

Lastly, the entire game has been shitted up due to the sjw tumblr-types' demands; zippertits/gender nonsense, no burglars (because its a trigger for them), removal/renaming traits (e.g. Insane trait), further pushed normies away.

I remember reading somewhere, think it was either on MTS or the official TS forums, that burglars are a big trigger for some of the retarded sjws and also how they don't want to vilify burglars (a la real life California). Clown world shit.

I remember there was a mod that removed all the black skins in TS4 years ago, and then it got patched so skin colours are "hard coded" and cannot be modded away iirc, and forcing your game to be shitted up with browns and trannies. Also, good luck releasing a mod like that these days.

And even if those said modders weren't chased out of the scene, quit, or chose not to do TS4 modding, i.e. J.M. Pescado, TwoJeffs, Twallan, to name a few, TS4 is sadly so flawed at the core, that not even them combined would be able to fix it.

The Sims Forums, which opened 14 years ago, will be shut down in July, and a new EA Forum will be created as a replacement.

It seems like it's another pointless re-name, instead of an actual replacement.

We’re here, we just kinda keep to ourselves. The tumblrinas have a tendency to chase us out if they notice we play more straight sims than alphabet ones. So, not wanting drama over a virtual dollhouse, we don’t bother.

As realistic as the game has gotten, still imagine if one of The Sims came to life… as is. The Sim would still speak Simlish, making communication very hard. The Sim would appear to experience emotions, but being computer generated, the expressions seemed mechanical and it would be difficult to tell exactly what they were feeling. The Sim would be mobile, but still have repetitive computer driven motions and fixate on certain objects or people...

Now imagine that the Sim resembles you. And before you believe that this post is in the wrong forum, imagine that the Sim, as is, actually is your brother or sister or son or daughter.

Then you would get a feeling for what it’s like to have an immediate family member with Autism.

I assumed it was because the core demo for a game that is basically a computerised dollhouse consists mainly of girls and autistic boys. Plus the 8-year-olds who killed sims for fun. But I don't think the latter been a significant part of the fandom since TS4 launched without pools.

I have been out of this fandom for a while though, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Tumblr used to be the best place to get a lot of aesthetic mods like hairstyles, reskins, clothes, and so on. A lot of people ran Tumblr blogs for their Sims in the days before streaming became popular, too. So naturally a lot of players with an online presence were using Tumblr and infected with Tumblr ideology.

Additionally, the Sims is an easy game to play so if you aspire to be a streamer or YouTuber, you can play the Sims for views without having any sort of skill at playing video games. But back to the first point, people who are online enough to want to watch a Sims streamer or YouTuber are going to be of the Tumblr-infected. Thus you must appeal to them if you want to make a living off of streaming.

It's why they go into almost scripted, robotic rants if you misgender they/them pixels in chat on a stream (LilSimsie is the worst about this). Or why they loudly swore to never play the evil Hogwarts game despite never playing RPGs on their stream. They're virtue signalling to the Tumblr-infected audience that they're a TRUE ALLY and the chronically online weirdos feel like the stream is a safe space, which in turn builds parasocial relationships with the creator. And thus, $$$.

And I've noticed none of these people actually seem to enjoy playing Sims, they get stressed out or do challenges that make them mad, or rant about EA being in Israel or something, or just outright virtue signal the popular social issue of the month.

Call Me Kevin's Jim Pickens saga is probably the last time there will ever a popular, normal person playing the Sims the way it was meant to be played--actually having fun.
