Are there any mods for 4 that limit the skin selection for newly generated townies? If you delete all the premades your game fast looks like it's set in fucking Nigeria because the number of black skins greatly outnumbers the white ones (Most of which look ugly in their own right, especially outside the warm set). I think Sims 4 Studio can limit outfits but I didn't see an option for skintones.
So one thing that really changed things for me was deleting all of the current townies (takes an hour or so) and replacing them with ones I liked by searching for ones on the exchange. This is a detailed video on how you do that because it's TL;DR to explain here, but it's limited the ugly, randomly generated townies quite a bit and given me free reign over who stays and who goes, like your own personal apartheid (also limits the accidental troon townies).

I don't wanna get my hopes up too much because the game keeps bugging out on me every time I find a fix, but it has been running like a dream with this, even my old pleasantview that used to instantly crash is running fine. I'm sure it will break again with a windows update or something and I'll have to move to linux eventually like everyone else is, but for now I've had zero crashing or pink flashing, genuinely running so well will my massive cc folder and all the high poly crap. I have not had my game run this well in years. Now I can start setting up my medieval cc folder and finally have the perfect medieval simulator. The sims community may be full of weirdos with gay tranny ships but the modding community is still amazing.

Not to say that women who also make gameplay hacks don't exist since the sims franchise is one of the few places where you can find true and honest women who can code or understand code (like rebeccah, lamare or April Black), it's just "hard coding stuff" like utility programs, gameplay overhaul mods, gameplay fixes and the like tend to have more male creators (i.e. for Sims 2 we have pescado, chris hatch, nopke and so on).

The creator is Nopke, a modder who I mentioned in the post above. mostly makes gameplay fixes but this is impressive.
He said this is basically a top and the boob eyes follow the head eyes animation. I wondered why he did it but it's obvious that "because he can" is the immediate answer.

To be fair most are just hobbyists, this guy put in all the work to figure it out because it was for his dissertation, I haven't watched the teaAddict interview with him yet but I got the impression he doesn't play the game much. Most sim modders, male or female probably don't want to put in that much time for a hobby, the extreme autism where you dedicate a lot of time to modding a game is definitely majority male for most games though, I appreciate their work. Women are probably less likely to go into programming anyway, so not that surprising we have less of them doing this, it's still nice so many are willing to learn just for a hobby and the sims 2 community isn't asking for money for everything like the sims 4 creators do. Fucking EA doesn't bother fixing this for their re-relase and asks for money when their fixes are worse than the freely available community fixes, no wonder the modding community for sims 4 expects to be paid for shitty conversions from second life.
I'm really happy he made this fix, my game is still so stable, I had one crash but it was liekly mod or cc related cause my cc folder is a mess. The object limit fix he released is great too, but it's already impossible to find anytihng in the catalog, it would be amazing if he could find a way to add a search function to it but I read other modders say it's not possible.
S-Club, like always, has a half dozen asian skintone sets that are all just different undertones of pale. A lot of the rest is scattershot but you can usually just look for it by adding korean or asian to your search. I'd actually recommend looking on something like pinterest or those massive repost catalogue sites because they tend to catch a lot of personally hosted cc that doesn't make it onto TSR or whatever. I don't have anything on-hand to recommend unfortunately because I use a single maxismatch default replacer and that's about it.
As an update, the de-shittification post is still being worked on, just got busy IRL. A lot of the things in it I'm having a difficult time re-sourcing because they're very, very old, so it's been taking more time than I'd like to get sources sorted. If I can't trace them down soon then I'll probably just rehost them myself.
