So far, the game has a Brindleton Bay gay couple, a Sulani lesbian couple, a Sulani troon, another Sulani troon, a nonbinary wizard from Realm of Magic, an Evergreen Harbor lesbian couple, and another Evergreen Harbor lesbian couple. I may have missed some, and I haven't kept track past the Eco Lifestyle expansion, so maybe the newer expansions add even more.

This isn't the first time someone has brought up pedo shit to the sims dev's or EA. Up to this point it either didn't get through or got ignored. As to whether they will use this as justification to ban you for deleting the faggot couple. No. I mean at a baseline the game encourages creating your own sims to inhabit the world you are playing in. It's a foundational element of the game.

What I do sort of find odd is the comparison you're making. EA has effectively said "We dont want this content to be modded into our game." and you're worried about deleting some sim? I mean it would be more understandable if the argument were that you wanted to allow drug use in the game, for which there is a mod of course, and what would happen if that were to be seen as problematic. Given that both situations in that case involve adding something into the game. Whatever though.

Anyway, could it cause a witch hunt? Yes. It damn well could. Historically EA has ignored the modding community as much as possible. They've ignored this exact kind of pedo modding at least since the Sims 2. There could well be a dam breaking. We will have to see how much further they will go. I have it on good authority that there was an intent and action by the people making degenerate (but non pedo or zoophilia) mods to find programmatic ways to effectively kill off the mods of the pedo modders. Extricating them from the wider community without a fuss getting raised. My assumption would be that they saw the same potential issues. Whether that would have been successful at some point I don't know.

I will point one more thing out that isn't related to the previously quoted person. The people who made these pedo mods had stolen code from another set of modders and then branched it off to make their own pedo shit tacked onto the original mod. They removed blocks that those original modders had attempted to put in place to prevent this sort of thing and then proceeded to add in their own pedo and zoophiliia shit. Additionally, the people at a site called "Lovers Lab" actively protected one of these pedo modders (ColonolNutty) for years from being banned for stealing code not to even mention the fact that on day one for his mod, he was using an image of children (sims) watching an adult fuck a dog. This would have anyone else catch the ban hammer. Stealing code should have caught him a ban. It didn't and he kept stealing code. What I really want to find out is who in that site were shielding him.

Apparently, someone on Twitter suicide baited about being called out for wanting to love the mod. They've sent their fellow Pedo white knights to send threatening emails to people threatening to call law enforcement for making one of them Minecraft themselves.

The only reason EA even stepped in is because someone somewhere along the chain thought this might result in bad publicity. I doubt they really care one way or another unless something else gets attention and people make a stink about it.

EA will likely ultimately do nothing. Again it's not the first time this sort of thing has been brought to their attention and it didn't do anything last time. If nothing else, I'm going to enjoy pedos freaking out and going "but but but it's just virtual kids! Some people like to have mods where you do drugs!"

I’ve been trying to figure out why the Sims has a more woke fanbase than most games - probably because its casual nature appeals more to people who don’t usually play video games otherwise, and that includes the perpetually triggered. And when they ask for this stuff they completely neglect the fact that so many people love nothing more than to torture their Sims - if the ability to make an autistic epileptic fox-kin with fae pronouns is added, who’s to stop them from being drowned in the pool or fed to the cow plant?
