The problem is, atheism is easy to corrupt to wokeness because it has no inner values. To be a true skeptic, you must have an idea of truth that cannot be corrupted by current values. Hence why Copernicus and Galileo would make better skeptics than the Skeptic Community, since they believed in their own idea of God and good that they will not surrender on.

You are an amazing human being and I wish you the very best in life but this isn’t a thread about coping about believing in the supernatural.

It’s should be about laughing about lolcows in the skeptic community but since that community is dead there’s hardly any interest in it.

Maybe this thread, like god, should just slowly be allowed to die.

Sorry a thousand times for being an arsehole pretending to be a mod but it saves us shitting up a dying thread with an argument no one cares about.

Just pointing out a key weakness of the Skeptic Community. The fact that their uniting ideology, atheism, really has no backbone; it made things easy for both the alt-right and the SJWs to just waltz in and introduce their mind-viruses into the program, and the skeptics either went full right and broke bread with the same Christians they once hated, or went full woke and became Breadtubers and SJWs, going to bat for their new ''god'' of social justice.

That is why the Skeptics fell. The tides of the political zeitgeist, which at first was on their side due to some resentment towards religious authorities, eventually turned against them as things shifted towards a different sort of politics, and this shift devoured the Skeptic Community whole. They had to adapt and pick a side, and that caused the community to fall apart as different skeptics chose either the right-wingers or the SJWs.

It's not the same thing as say, Feminism, which ever since the Second Wave, had been opposed to organized religion since they saw it as patriarchal. They at least had beliefs, an orthodoxy, something to rally around and believe. And that allowed them to endure for decades with their opinions. Of course, they re-invent themselves now and then, discarding ideas like being pro-life or being sex-positive as the ideology evolved, but the general thrust of their ideas are still there, focusing on women's rights and blaming the patriarchy for the world's ills. This is why feminism has lasted for decades, whereas the Skeptic community didn't even last for a single decade before the SJWs and the new right put a bullet in its skull.

You can tell he's trying to fence-sit but doing so feels futile, at the moment there's basically no tenable position that posits all of these viewpoints together. Outspoken people online either hate troons or are full-on TRAs, without much middle ground.

Still waiting for a good explanation for why the skeptic community and atheist communities in general look the same? Fat and poor personal hygiene. At least the fat people in the anti-SJW community at least shower. You don't see the quartering with greasy hair. Libertarian skeptics are not as bad as far-left skeptics when it comes to being openly pedophilic. Onion nuggetz are sexualizing pup name scooby do Velma on his thumbnails.

I was going to ask if he thinks there’s actual ethical crime but since the skeptic movement got utterly pozzed I’m guessing he thinks all crime is ethical if the victims are white.

You clearly mistake him for the woke types. He isn't from that group. Maybe AmazingAtheist is; ever since he started hating himself for his past content. CosmicSkeptic can be pretty retarded for his "rational viewpoints that are devoid of God," but he isn't a self-hating cracka like Amazingatheist for example. After all, self-hating is an irrational form of argumentation, and we all know what CosmicSkeptic is about.
