Gotta say I was pretty disinterested when I learned they were just going to do a fly-by of the Moon, but watching the launch live was extremely exciting. Also lmao the live chat posting flags of countries that have contributed nothing to space exploration.

My first thought, nothing like a good reminder that vast majority of people are useless to contrast with peak human scientific achievement on display.

They're posting their flags to symbolize solidarity, it's a human achievement just as much as an American one, to be going back again.
