I honestly only know about American politics from what I read on the Internet but since we all love shitting on leftists I figured we'd get a kick out of this. Also it's trending on Twitter so you know it's important.

NEW YORK — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old political novice running on a low budget and an unabashedly liberal platform, upset longtime U.S. Rep. Joseph Crowley on Tuesday in the Democratic congressional primary in New York.

The surprise victory by the community organizer in a district that includes parts of the Bronx and Queens came after an energetic, grassroots campaign that mustered more than enough support in a low-turnout race that many had expected to be an easy win for Crowley, a member of the Democratic House leadership.

“The community is ready for a movement of economic and social justice. That is what we tried to deliver,” said Ocasio-Cortez, who has never held elected office and whose candidacy attracted only modest media attention.

She told The Associated Press after her victory that she didn’t have enough money to do polling in the race, but felt in her gut that her message had a chance to connect.

“I live in this community. I organized in this community. I felt the absence of the incumbent. I knew he didn’t have a strong presence,” she said.

Crowley has been in Congress since 1999 and hadn’t faced an opponent in a primary election since 2004, when Ocasio-Cortez was just a teenager. He was considered a candidate to become the next House speaker if Democrats win the majority.

“It’s not about me,” Crowley, 56, told his supporters at a campaign party following his loss. “It’s about America. I want nothing but the best for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez. I want her to be victorious.”

He later played guitar with a band at the election night gathering, and dedicated the first song, Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” to Ocasio-Cortez.

Crowley represents New York’s 14th Congressional District, where he is also the leader of the Queens Democratic party.

Ocasio-Cortez was outspent by an 18-1 margin during her race but won the endorsement of some influential groups on the party’s far left, including MoveOn, as well as the actress Cynthia Nixon, who is running for governor. She defeated Crowley by 15 percentage points.

Born in the Bronx to a mother from Puerto Rico and a father who died in 2008, Ocasio-Cortez said she decided to challenge Crowley to push a more progressive stance on economic and other issues.

She attended Boston University, where she earned degrees in economics and international relations, and also spent time working in the office of the late U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy.

After graduating, she returned to the Bronx where she became a community organizer. In the 2016 presidential campaign she worked for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Among her issues is expanding the Medicare program to people of all ages and abolishing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. She recently went to Tornillo, Texas, to protest against policies that have separated parents from their children at the southern U.S. border.

Ocasio-Cortez gained some internet attention for a campaign video called “The Courage to Change,” a two-minute spot for which she wrote the script and featured footage from her own home.

Crowley is chair of the House Democratic Caucus, the fourth-highest ranking position in Democratic leadership in that chamber of Congress.

His loss drew the attention of President Donald Trump.

“Wow! Big Trump Hater Congressman Joe Crowley, who many expected was going to take Nancy Pelosi’s place, just LOST his primary election. In other words, he’s out! That is a big one that nobody saw happening. Perhaps he should have been nicer, and more respectful, to his President!” he tweeted.

The Republican candidate for the office, Anthony Pappas, is running unopposed and had no primary. Pappas teaches economics at St. John’s University.

She was a Bernie campaigner, is supported by BLM, and wants to abolish Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Also this was in a solid-blue Congressional District so you know she's a shoo-in for next Congress.

But hey, we did get to see Trump laugh at Crowley on Twitter.

Just the GND would be approximately 93 TRILLION dollars. That’s more money than there is on this earth. These justice Democrats are just making Trump’s re-election more inevitable.
College debt IS an issue in this country. Mainly because the costs have increased but the standard has remained the same. That bubble is going to burst akin to the housing crisis of 2008 if something doesn't change. Shame that no GOP representative conservativeever considered that dilemma AFAIK, but now it's a SJW trademark so it won't be taken seriously anyway.

More shit about Saikat Chakrabarti

"It's a trick. Get an ax."

Sorry, Ms. Latinx, plenty of your brethren have already told me I'm irredeemable for voting for Trump and that there's nothing in this world I could do to sway them from their righteous smiting of myself and everyone who's related to me by seven steps. I'm not falling for this attempt to lure me into one of your Woke Death Camps or whatever the fuck trendy sounding name you'd call them where you'll shove kale and socialism up my ass until I vomit 'Hope & Change' pamphlets and die.

HEY YOU RACIST SEXIST BIGOTED VIOLENT WHITE DEVIL ASSHOLES, IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO REPENT, JUST SAYIN'

That never happened. The Daily Beast completely made up that quote, and now Newsweek is trying to "solidify" it by reporting on it, but that's literally not even what happened. In fact, the opposite of that statement is what was actually said. McConnells campaign manager implicitly stated:

"Team Mitch in no way condones any aggressive, suggestive, or demeaning act toward life-sized cardboard cutouts of any gender in a manner similar to what we saw from President Obama's speech writing staff several years ago."

The picture itself was tactless, but at no point did Mitch McConnell say any such thing, and people in Obama's campaign did the same fucking thing and none of you cared then, either. Get out of here with this fake, incestuous reporting bullshit.

NowThis is such a horribly deranged far-left site it actually makes Vox look sane by comparison.

I have proof that games cause violence

What wolfenstein has become as well as many other series has made me violently angry. They've become netflix movies.
American Krogan is an imbecile though. Having said that, I've heard nothing but bad things about Youngblood and while disappointing it's not surprising given the trainwreck that New Colossus was. New Order and Old Blood are still great however and a reminder of what a good thing these rebooted Wolfenstein games had going for them before shooting themselves in the foot halfway through. I have no expectations for Wolfenstein 3.

It is publicly available info right? Of course the media doesn't take it that way when it's not convenient.

Of course, people's names and addresses are public info too. So if I were to publish a list of names and addresses, and accompanied it with "people deserve to know who the people are who want them destroyed." Suddenly people might think my publicly available address listing might not be so innocent...

How close can you skirt "here is a list of people who need to be killed" before it's a call to action?

I like how she completely ignored the guy who tried to gun down an ICE facility even though he practically quoted her in his manifesto, but now that a new shooter has popped up and has nothing to do with her it's time to bust out the crocodile tears, again. I swear, I do love politics but the worst part about politics is the politicians.
Ideologies aren't causing the mass shootings, it's just giving the shooters their targets. These people that go on shooting sprees aren't normal functioning people who have been lead astray. They are disturbed individuals who latch onto something that directs their actions.

It's really difficult to believe white supremacy is the culprit when I get called a white supremacist for liking Tulsi Gabbard.

Well, it is a descendant of the Aryan religions
I'm counting the days until some progtard publicly makes that argument when "Russian conspiracy" isn't enough to dash Tulsi's popularity. I'm just waiting for some leftist rag to pick up steam on condemning all Hindus as an evil religion because that's what they think will get them a win.

Well, I can think of worse ways to court Muslims
