I played 3 and liked it(but given it was my first ever Star Ocean, I can fully understand why the twist in that pissed so many long-time fans off), and I tried 4 but couldn’t get passed the art style on that one.

Well, anyway, it seems they weren't done. Only a few months after the deal closed, Square Enix mentioned that they were interested in selling their stakes in their remaining western studios. "What studios?", you may be asking. Beats the hell out of me. I don't know of any major western studios they still own. Apparently, this was being considered as part of a wider strategy to focus on their Japanese games and studios, which they felt were having to compete with the Western studios for resources. This was also more or less the reason why they sold the former Eidos studios and their associated IP.

However, apparently this is bigger than just western developers. It appears that Square Enix is moving away from directly owning studios entirely. Apparently, Square Enix are already taking inventory.

Not surprising, yet still is. The fact that Square Enix keeps getting away with it is still very tragic.

As part of a class action settlement done by Sora, he sends in the Xenomorph Alien, Predator, John McClaine, Tyler Durden, Scrat, Hank Hill, Bender, Roger Smith, Sterling Archer and Tom Green's character from Freddy Got Fingered to go super saiyan on Xehanort. WALL-E gets furiously confused as he asks Xenomorph, Predator, Bender and Roger to stop.

Peter Griffin comes to his senses after a rousing speech from Tom Green, but then his evil nobody, Xteper Griffin, revives Goofy and kills him again

Game ends in a bittersweet note and hints at Goku in the post credits scene

Foreshadowing the next game, in which Goku kidnaps Sora into another magical realm, and Xteper Griffin is seen destroying Mega Lo Mart in the Arlen universe along with JoeStan, UltraFry and HyperKahn. Bender and Roger morph into Rogender while Lena has a boring conversation with Tom Green.
