The Square Enix Griefing Thread

She's a pretentious, annoying cunt. I secretly thought maybe Forspoken might not be absolute dogshit, like there's a 1% chance this nigger game might actually not be the worst fucking game, but no, it's worse than expected even with near rock bottom expectations.

It's probably not provable, but it almost seems like there was subtle false advertising. Images of the character in marketing make her seem contemplative, maybe serene. Possibly likable, or tolerable. Instead, she's a screeching retard. It's like they knew they couldn't sell that, so why...DO that?
When gameplay was shown for the first time I just thought this game would be terribly mediocre. Like a modern Ubisoft game. Maybe a 5 or a 6. A game that I didn’t care about and no one else did. But no, it wasn’t even mediocre, it was absolute dogshit. And that’s hilarious, it really is. It’s really funny to see everyone shit on this game.

even Scott the Woz recently mocked developers who dangle sequels around and say “we’ll only make a sequel if this sells more!!” and he’s like the most mainstream gaming youtuber

No, I do not want to consoom product because sequel, fuck off Nomura go tighten one of your 50 belts
I'll admit that was a factor in me buying the Chrono Chross remaster. Chrono Trigger is probably my favorite JRPG so I made an exception, plus I was curious about the official Radical Dreamers translation.

Its a shame too since Yoruichi is a true and honest transman with that whole male cat thing they do.

We need proper trans representation, folx!

To me, Handsome Jack being an asshole is one of the more enjoyable parts of the game. Him being a shamelessly evil, arrogant asshole is a breath of fresh air compared to literally everything else in modern gaming.
I can accept someone being an asshole, if their writing is good and they don't run it into the ground. Vaas was good, Pagan Minh was good; Handsome Jack is a retard who sniffs his own fucking farts and calls you up every five minutes to tell you he doesn't remember eating corn.

Nomura says stranger of paradise can get a sequel if it sells more. So buy it boys! Dlc is all out now
It seems that Chaos was inside the house all along.
It is time to kill Belts.

Bullshit.

Beltman really thought the memes somehow equated to his dumbass game being good. Jesus Christ.
If an angry retard saying "bullshit" has better character progression THAN LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU'VE MADE FOR THE PAST TWO DECADES" take that as a fucking hint and get out of your own dArkneSSlighthole you fucking heartless nobody.

But have you played the game though

So what you're saying is that this is the morbius of vidya?

I'll be real, it's not perfect due to lack of enemy variety mid game and I haven't played the dlc. But the plot and gameplay is solid. Jack is one of the best FF leads in years and his story was captivating from the get go.

There's a point to the chaos meme that was rather ingenious and I loved the ending. Very cool to explore areas from other FF games and read the lore. Frankly the base game needed more content but it is not a bad game.

I dont get it, why is it wrong to purchase a game you'd like to see a sequel of? What am i missing

It's consoomer behavior to buy something because the creator's implying he won't do a sequel unless his original game sells better, rather than buying it because you want to play it.

Not to mention, it's pretty greedy to say that while keeping the PC version off of Steam for those Epicbux.

It's hard to believe Forspoken is a AAA PS5 exclusive made by a major company yet looks like a late PS3 game.

I can believe it. Sometime in the 2010's all the creative people got yanked out of game studios in favor for bland products made by people that can't program for shit. The ones that DO have the skills wind up being treated like shit for doing their jobs. Time schedules are rushed, and even then you still have crunch time to make it before the deadline, and even after all that (and intop of companies just being money-hungry pricks in general), the game still gets chopped up and served into pieces and drip-fed to people. Speaking of money, funds have been dropping and even shit that's been given a boost from things like Kickstarter have been wasted by incompetent people that don't know how to manage money or are taking some of that off of the top for themselves.

Gaming in the AAA sphere, hasn't been the same for a very long time. Hell I'd argue gaming as a whole has been completely fucked.

It make me wonder, if not even ESG money, and siphoning money from other projects (FF14 in this case with SE), would be enough to recoup the losses from game releases that are bombing in recent times.
