I swear there's more to it than you'd think. This character actually got picked up at some point for a TV series, and Miyazaki ended up being involved, though the character got a slight redesign for the occasion. I'd love to see what the AI would make out of it.

I would like to think most people here know who Lupin the Third is, and how Miyazaki changed his character.

The first book was pretty incoherent, tbh. Feels like an entirely different character from other iterations, and the author was well-aware of this and just kind of accepted it.
