Yeah, this thread piqued my interest so I gave it a try with one of my family photos. Using one of my family portraits it added an extra baby and gave me glasses and everybody had chink haircuts when we are a blonde family lol. Its impressive people were able to get the results they have with whatever theyre using.

I think the weirdest trivia I found out about them is the fact they were formed out of people from another animation studio that made the rankin bass hobbit movies' animation part. So posting shit from these moves technically counts to some degree as ghibli memes.
Looking at the two movies you can actually kind of see the gradual formation of what their signature style became.
EDIT: OG company was called topcraft, just checked again.
