The Chinese way. It pisses off everyone that you come in contact with on the date debate subject because the Chinese are stuck on the Chinese internet, and those that aren’t you get to piss off by calling them defectors.

Month-day-year is superior for human usage because you want to group items that happened in a Month more often then you want to group things that happened the same day of a month. The next most important information is the day, which is why its second. "what about the year" you ask? That's usually the least important, or if important is usually broken out and mentioned first.

Day-Month-Year (or year-month-day if ya nasty) is superior for automated systems. But since its easier to get a computer to spit out and process human-preferred dates than get a human to prefer computer-readable dates, MDY is the clear choice.

I think Europoors should move to Year-month-day. It keeps the sortability the Germans coom to and prevents confusion about which standard is in use.
