The Taylor Swift craze is odd

A few things to note. First, teenage girls are absolute lemmings so if it wasn't Taylor Swift it would be <insert pop star here>. Also she's attractive in a non-plastic way which is getting rarer these days. So that makes her an obvious vehicle for mass popularity.

As far as resurgence/timing, I think that's mainly related to her re-recording all of her old shit once she got out of her old record contract. I forget the details, but a few years back there was some chicanery related to her old masters and so she ended up re-recording/releasing everything and that's when the resurgence started I think. Since she is an actual songwriter (albeit of corny songs for girls) rather than just a typical performer like most singers, that puts her in a far stronger position legally & financially.

Plus they love her in Langley, which doesn't hurt.

I don't even follow Taylor Swift and I know more than you people. Although I would mark it up to being a NEET, and being able to come across more of this info.

buddy, my mom was moving from shitty apartment to shit apartment, trailer park to trailer park literally her entire life until where she now resides in a nursing home at age 55 because she is in such poor health

she has never been in contact with any wealthy or elite, my dad was the closest she ever got, and he was dirt poor at the time

Out of the twenty magazines at my local supermarket in Australia, five were about Swift.
What kind of upsidedownland monkey still buys magazines, and why are they about this one former-hasbeen.

Some people say she is being propped up to endorse Biden, but she did that last time, and didn't really make an impact.
Could she be his next running mate? She'd end any talk of him being too old.

Avril isn't even the best female pop singer. Carly Rae Jepson and Justine Bieber are far more catchy

Her audience is Millennial women in their late 20's and 30's. Women aren't that smart. It's not hard to figure it out. A bunch of stupid vapid dumb bitches are her fans. Womenchildren that suffer from Peter Pan syndrome. The kind that never grew up and developed any kind of adult taste in music. I reject all modernity when it comes to music. All I ever really listen to is Boomer rock and 80's metal.

Younger Millennials who were teenagers during the 2000s are starting to feel older nowadays. I mean the first Taylor Swift song was released in 2006 which will be a full two decades old in two years. This sort of generational nostalgia trip isn't new, remember we just barely got past the recent 80's media binge of the 2010s. If you're especially old you'll remember how in the 1970s there was a plethora of 50's related media being made by Baby Boomers who were hitting their 30s & 40s around that time. Stuff like American Graffiti and Happy Days were really popular. I'm sure the powers that be just saw these mostly natural nostalgia yearnings turn up and capitalized it for whatever marketing plans they want to use it for.

The more fun theory is that Taylor Swift is an NFL-funded genetic Dolly sleeper clone used to indoctrinate everyone into being a Kansas fan.

And their eggs are oh-so dry. Peter pan syndrome is correct, during a brief stint in hotel desk work, I saw greasy fat lesbians (likely in their 50s) unironically wearing MLP gear (backpacks etc). Well deserved imo, an entire generation of women will die with their asian-slave-made consoomer goods, childless.

Nope, he's a man. He loves to follow trends and gets obsessed with anything popular. I shouldn't have been surprised when he started joining in the Swift craze, I just didn't think he would cared that much. Mainly because he never joined in on Beyoncé's fandom

In 2019, Taylor was explicitly invoked as someone who would be a valuable asset to target due to the demographics and intensity of her followers, by a Pentagon Psychological Operative at a NATO defense industry conference (speaking alongside Renee DiResta whom you might remember from the twitter files et al). These people are doing it right out in the open, they don't care.
