Just because people talk about jocks and nerds that doesn't mean they're saying the other categories exist.

But another thing with it all that bothers me, there's this lack of distinction - including in the language itself - between pop culture nerds and science nerds. The people obsessing over comic books, vidya, fantasy and sci-fi are generally NOT the dudes building rockets in their backyards, collecting petri samples for fun, and making their own machines. I think the interests of the two overlap more than they do with the broader world, but pop culture itself treats it like a one-to-one thing. The biggest pop culture nerds I've known have also tended to be the biggest retards, moreso than any jocks.

My reason for liking tomboys is because is find short hair attractive on girls, and for some reason I like androgynous looking girls.

Personality wise, every tomboy I knew was more upfront about issues and whenever there was something wrong they'd actually say it instead of being passive aggressive about it. That gets rid of dealing with the dumbest shit regarding w*man, where they expect you to be a mind reader.

Hobbies wise, I like going to the gym and would prefer a partner that does the same. But even most fitness girls just hit and and legs 3 days a week which is is nice but I like a well developed back on a girl as well as nice shoulders

Your post was pretty much what I've been feeling. Others have probably already pointed this out, but I'll just add my own take here.

I think lots of guys just want girls who aren't shrinking violets. That retarded article critiquing tomboys as "White supremacist" galvanized many a right-winger and online White Nationalist in defense of such women. As to why it got so much traction, tomboys are much more attainable in the current year than tradwives. The tradwife tends to be the product of a luxury lifestyle which most people cannot afford. In a world with increasing expenses, inflating dollars and less buying power, tomboys pulling their own weight are very attractive to men so they feel they're not struggling alone

At any rate, the term tomboy should describe ≤24-year-old women who aren't girly. By the time she's in grad school or completed her trade, that concept should be discarded entirely because you're dealing with a grown woman.

Well, this is even less attainable in terms of a woman actually doing this, but there is no contradiction at all between a tradwife and a tomboy (pulling their own weight), I call them pioneer women.

I think this cultural obsession with pigeonholing people into predetermined categories is what eventually metastasized into all the meltbrained tumblrfaggotry that informs contemporary gender politics. It gave homos and marxists an easy metalinguistic in to seed academia and pop culture with "if you're into x you must be y" bullshit without being questioned.

I'd argue there is if your definition of tomboy involves actually looking like a boy, not looking (or dressing) like a girl, or having short hair, etc.
