The Urbit Thread - Why you shuold use Urbit, and so should your mom

I listened to Curtis Yarvin's interview on Tim Dillon's podcast the other day. I found it interesting that he was encouraging people to stay off Urbit. I am not up to date on him or the Urbit community so I have no idea if he's doing that just to protect the quality of Urbit (like he fawns over UseNet) or if he genuinely thinks it's gay and lame
I imagine its the former, he's gained a bunch of followers since his appearances on podcasts like Red Scare, Michael Malice, etc. I don't think he wants Urbit to experience a huge influx of users, especially parasocial types. Whatever keeps him from making any more godawful Uncle Yarv articles on Substack is fine by me.

Thought so.

Side note: wtf was with his fake "new yawk" accent? I put it down to his autism noticing Tim Dillon had an accent and being unable to control himself mimicking it.

Got gifted a planet a couple years back, haven't spun it up in ages.
I will NOT learn hoon.
Godspeed to Urbit but I can't imagine it getting widely adopted in its current state.
