The word Hate gets thrown around a lot lately, and much like the word Racist, it's slowly starting to lose its meaning.
In this case I'm defining Hate as an intense dislike of something. The opposite of love.
Modern culture seems to be determined to stamp out dislike of just about anything, except for the few things that it considers hatable.
Thats where Hate as gotten its secondary meaning - irrational dislike that goes against the current trends of society, and is slowly becoming a punishable offense. Even disliking a movie or game gets considered Hate nowadays.
But doesn't Hate serve an evolutionary purpose? Isn't Hate a good thing, in many situations?
Why is society now attacking Hate itself, rather than addressing what is causing Hate In the first place?
Why do we no longer seem to recognize the value of Hate?
