One of the issues with this game is the reliance on drag-and-drop. Given that there's no "undo" feature, your game is virtually cooked if you have some dirt on your display or get knocked into and drop the tile someplace you didn't want to because of loss of capacitance.

Separate touches for "start" and "end" would brilliant. We should gang up on the dev and encourage them to implement it.

I tried it out on mobile and if you hold down the two pieces you want to switch at the same time they will usually swap. It doesn't seem to be intentional, but it could be a remedy to your problem. Or you could use a desktop instead of a phone (unless you don't have one).

This game feels easier than Wordle for me as an ESL, because I can figure out the words without knowing them, and they even tell me what the words means at the end.

What does the 1/5 5/5 correspond to? Is it the amount of stars you get at the end? I got 2 of them, does it mean that you need to aim for 5 stars, for 5 remaining swaps?

Yup! They tell you how many remaining swaps you have at the end of a game. The stars correspond to remaining swaps. You could aim for 5, but you can do whatever makes you happiest.
