There's nothing toxic about the Web animation community in general or YouTube
Animations on the internet has been extremely popular for over 30-40 years.
It started as ASCII animations in the early 1980's.
in Possibly 1986, People started sharing digitally-made hand-drawn 2D animations on Email, throughout the 1990's, They began extremely increasing on Email,
Email was usually and mostly the early way to share, Many animators used 2D animation software for their hand-drawn animations for good video quality and most of them were uploaded on an video file.
Other times, People upload Animated videos on FTP sites, and other connections to the internet, but most animations still remained uploaded on Email throughout the 1990's.
The First video to be viral on Internet was The Dancing Baby in 1996.
Early flash animations began on the late 1990's.
In the 2000's People uploaded animations on Newgrounds, People would upload animations on DeviantArt and SheezyArt in 2003-2004.
YouTube launched in 2005, Animations began appearing on YT in April 2005 shortly after it's launch,
They began to extremely increase throughout 2005.
Newground users started their YT channels on 2006. one of them was Egoraptor.
As time goes ,There been various short animations, Fan-made animations, Various web series, pilots for web series and Student films.
Most of them were good and made decently with an software, whether the animation was Hand-drawn or Flash.
There are Extremely 100% of animations on YouTube that they extremely flooded the entire website.
While the General animation community on YT is good,
There've been bad ones out there.
Such as the MS Paint community
where people make ''Animations'' on MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker such as Greeny Phantom.
The GoAnimate community is just as bad as the MS Paint community
and also the Plotagon community.
However, these bad animation communities on YouTube are straight-out laughable.
We are just gonna be it's good general community on YouTube since it started all in 2005. Animations on YT are getting good throughout the years, they're good as of now.
There's most of that are good, and some of them mediocre and just plain bad.
Let's just stick to the good ones:
Here are the good animations on YouTube:
It's an grad film, it still fits as an web animation, regardless.

Feels like there should be a setback......

"Let's just stick to the good ones:"
How about no, because fuck you and your boring post. Kiwis, you want to know about the animation community? Then lets take a step into the rabbit hole of "animation memes."
Animation on Youtube as everyone knows has been a dying profession. AdSense has always been picky about monetizing content, and how frequent an uploader can be. The quality of animation has gone down so significantly that not only do we see less of the type of content that OP put in their post, but more often than not you're going to be met with atrocities like this:
Even shit that has some level of quality sunk into it will still be shit because they're just repeating the same 20-50 frames over a loop of some song that got popular on tiktok.
There many cringe comps and other pieces of media that is out there if you want to sink yourself into this sort of shit but even trying to find these examples I'm already beat.
Even with the "good" artists it's just talent wasted on lazy "animating" and continuing to only draw furries or non-human proportions.

What? My post isn't boring, Most of the animations on YT are good, Animation memes are OK, but it just cringeworthy sometimes, even some of them made by Pre-teen girls or Teenage girls at the age of 13.

Remember Bonus Stage?
I don't even remember Bonus stage, Too bad the creator of the series got disowned.
Anyways, I found this subreddit : r/youtubeanimators/ shows an bunch of random animations on YouTube, whether animated or not, it has bunch of random indie and amateur animations on YT uploaded the creators.
I stumbled this on this subreddit:
It's not even animation, so why is she posting this video on that subreddit?

Okay, They're aren't specifically called ''web animation'' but rather internet-based animations, They're New media animations, so let me give an history:
When computer animations were on it's infancy on the 1940's and 1950's.
They're one of the earliest new media animations alongside very earliest new media moving images properties in the 19th century.
In the early 1960's, computers animations became common with digital computers.
In 1970, The earliest internet-based animations were ASCII animations.
They're basic to enough to tell a story with ASCII animations.
In the 1980's various programs played animations made by software, and they're also played via floppy disks.
Animated videos were uploaded on Email and it was the early way to share. They were an intensely astronomical amount of animations being on uploaded on Email, in which it's the same amount of ASCII animations and programs playing various animations, They're usually user-submitted by Independent and amateur animators, and many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many animators used Digitally-made hand-drawn animation for good quality.
Animation software were intensely common on various personal computers.
In the 1990's, Animated videos were uploaded on FTP sites.
Animated videos were still uploaded on Email and various software played Animations, with the software itself or on floppy disks or download it.
Animated videos were also played on various video codecs,
The first animated video to get popular on the internet, was the dancing baby and it was played on various emails and later transferred as an GIF.
In the late 1990's early flash animations came along, animated web series began to use flash animation, In 1999, Animated videos were uploaded on Newgrounds' movie portal.
During the 2000's animations were uploaded on various websites, In 2003-2004 animations were uploaded on DeviantArt and SheezyArt in April 2005, Animated videos began appearing on YouTube, shortly after it's official launch in April.
As of now, They're still intensely astronomical animations being made on internet and it's very intensely common thing to online.
However, nobody on the internet doesn't like any videos that uses still drawings and GoAnimate videos.

I don't about how Newgrounds is going to be, but users have been posting Friday Night Funkin' animations lately.
Didn't have some sort of animation jam.

Hell yes. Too bad the creator went and disowned it
Its back...and i wish it wasn't.

This special is basically the reddit-meta quips, soyface inducing references and multiverse bullshit we're all tired of. Add in that Joel is now trans (because creator Matt Wilson is ENBY now and its one slog of why things aren't as great in 2024.
I have a really soft spot for Bonus Stage, i based a lot of my humor from it and the amount of work it took with mostly just him as a one-man show is incredible, but then i saw Clerks : The Animated Series and saw where he got a lot of the ideas for timing and structure. Even the music (all composed by matt as always) doesn't hit like it used to.

this actually hurts to watch. It's like if The Brothers Chaps came back from their 4 year hiatus and all of a sudden completely forgot what made Homestar Runner funny.

Well other than brain rot slop that I see above me here is something I actually thought was cool in a RuneScape style animation
