I wonder if Chris is even aware of the existence of Borderlands. Lord knows Claptrap is a walking talking Random-Access Humor machine.

Why doesn't Chris like the Teletubbies? These tardbominations should appeal to him, methinks. Or are they too dumb even for his tastes? Or unknown in the US?

The most prominent Christian evangelical in the country, Jerry Falwell, caused a stir when he claimed they were promoting homosexuality to children.

Wikipedia:

In February 1999, an unsigned article that media outlets attributed to Falwell was published in the National Liberty Journal – a promotional publication of the university he founded – claimed that the Teletubby named Tinky Winky was intended as a gay role model. An article published in 1998 by Salon.com had noted Tinky Winky's status as a gay icon.[42][43] In response, Steve Rice, spokesperson for Itsy Bitsy Entertainment, which licenses the Teletubbies in the US, said, "I really find it absurd and kind of offensive."[35][44] The immensely popular UK show was aimed at pre-school children, but the article stated "he is purple – the gay pride color; and his antenna is shaped like a triangle – the gay-pride symbol." Apart from those characteristics Tinky Winky also carries a magic bag which the NLJ and Salon articles said was a purse. Falwell added "role modelling the gay lifestyle is damaging to the moral lives of children."

Shit, I had completely forgotten about that outcry over Tinky Winky. That was really dumb.

I mean, obviously Tinky Winky was just a tomgirl.

Why didn't Chris get more into the Megaman series? He mentions it in his Song of Christian, naming off a few bosses from the Classic and X series.

There are a lot of things Chris is a fan of that he doesn't publicly sperg about. TMNT, for example.

What about The Disney Channel and their assortment of shows about and aimed at 14 year old girls? Shows like Jessie, Good Luck Charlie, and whatever thin Myley Cyrus is doing this week...? Seems like that'd be the sort of "Teen drama" that Chris could watch, while pretending to have "mature" tastes, all the while fapping to the stars and remembering how awesome it was when he was in high school.

Uhh, I don't really remember Chris talking about that stuff in particular, but it does fit his tastes. Although I think he would notice that it's aimed at a younger demographic than him. As we already know, he's definitely willing to watch things that aren't aimed at him, but he'll specifically make up some sort of excuse to justify it.

Chris got into Hannah Montana for awhile. Around the time of the Kacey saga he mentioned it. No word on other shows like that (Jessie, Good Luck Charlie, iCarly on Nickelodeon) but I wouldn't be surprised. In fact iCarly has a decent little adult fanbase going (as seen on Jimmy Fallon).

I always wondered if he liked "Captain N: The Game Master". It's right up his alley and he was the right age for it.

He had the idea to cosplay as Captain N for Halloween or some con, but he never did it. I would have loved to see him dressed up holding the Zapper, but I think he'd be better off cosplaying as King Hippo these days.

Reviving this thread.

I was reading the recent Date Ed topic and I got to wondering if Chris would like the anime The World God Only Knows.

It's about this socially awkward teenager who does nothing but play dating simulation games, but then he is accidentally trapped into a contract with Hell in which he has to use his gaming know-how make real girls fall in love with him.

It's actually a really fantastic show and outrageously funny (though much of the humor is somewhat subtle and/or otaku/gamer-oriented, so I'm not sure Chris would pick up on much of it?).

Might give Chris some bad ideas though. :?

With Chris's love for customization in his games, as well as dreams of a family life, I'm surprised that he isn't into The Sims. I searched the CWCki and got nothing relevant. I can only guess this is because the console versions are watered-down compared to the PC version, and that his computer can't really handle the latest version.

Eh, he was into TMNT, at least enough to bitch about the girl turtle being left out, and there's no mention of that on the cwcki.

Edit: Nevermind, there are a few mentions. Huh, mediawiki has a weird search feature. I really probably should rely more on google, just with site: sonichu.com included in the search parameter. But anyway, the mentions don't really suggest Chris had a big interest in TMNT. But I guess it's not the same as having absolutely zero knowledge of it.

Oh, that is such great 'tism right there. The girl turtle is a character so despised on Jar Jar Binks levels that not only is there no one that likes her, but her existence shitcanned the turtle tv show she debuted on and the owners of the franchise will never speak of her again. Yet Chris loves her, because she's got tits and he can fantasize she's his sweetheart.

I'm curious why Chris never hooked up with the Love-shy community. It seems like the perfect fit for him.

He blames his problems on men and trolls, not the women.

Well, I think the simpler answer is that Chris is not a team player, no matter what the team is. It doesn't matter if there are other people who hate the same thing you do - Chris only wants to talk/think about his hate, no one else's.

Not just "not blaming" the women, he puts non-troll women on pedestals, something the Love-Shy tend to, erm, shy away from.

Never mind non-troll women, make that all women. Remember back to his video on women proving he is straight. He specifically says:

And just because they act in a harsh nature… even when they should be calm and peaceful… they still care… about… the men in their… lives. Chris would be the very definition of pussy-whipped if not for the fact he can't get any.
