Updating your system is good. What's not very good is having no idea what the update puts in your system, and not being warned in advance when the forced update might break all your shit.

I never use them and they are unable to connect to the internet, so they are never used and do nothing.

I've never had to compile anything and I'm on a desktop PC playing AAA slop that you probably can't. No need to worry though, ma'am. KDE works perfectly fine and I don't use systemd.

You see, unlike you, I can decide what kind of software I don't want in my PC. I removed flatpak within seconds and it literally hasn't affected my system in any way.

I can also use almost any software in the world with just a few clicks, its great.

Did you just find out how a GUI works? I expect nothing less from a Microshill.

I encountered a Nokia Lumia today running 8.1 and damn the Windows Phone UI is good even a decade later. The phone is hopeless though, when MS dropped support they really meant it it's basically only usable as a dumb phone or mp3 player (though a very nice one).

It's too bad they were late, uncool, and it didn't work.

You’re not compiling anything, what an installer does is copy a compressed binary into certain folders. That’s the same on windows and in most Linux package managers. Compiling is a different task, much more resource and time consuming. If you were compiling, you’d know, because installing a web browser update would spin the processor fan up to 100% for a couple of hours and the machine would be more or less unusable for anything else.

Some of their phones also felt more premium while on WP7, but I preferred the QoL improvements that WP8.1 phones had, like the capability of copy and paste at launch, and not using Zune to transfer files to a pc.
