Should you use Windows 10 LTSC or Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC?
I also see Windows 10 LTSC and IoT ISOs on Piracy websites. Should you use them or not? I'm not really a big fan of Windows 11 and I would like to use an OS that does better than Windows 11.

i have "Windows 10 Home" activated with M.A.S. on one of my laptops, works well enough for me.
If you want to reject windows updates, you can use "oh shut up 10++".

No, he's wrong, because when you go from the market being 90% high-quality goods made in the USA and Japan to the market being 90% dog shit made in China, there's nothing "amazing" about that. PSUs in Packard Bells from the late 1980s lasted decades, and Packard Bell was the bottom feeder of its era. Nobody says, "It's amazing how good the products from the last ten years are" when the overall quality has dropped precipitously.
Imagine this conversation:
A: "The restaurants on this street are amazingly good!"
B: "What? Nearly every restaurant on this street is some disgusting chain that serves microwaved slop. Years ago, every restaurant on the street was good."
A: "Well, there's still this one really expensive place back in a corner of an alley that's good. Isn't that amazing?"
B: "No, what would be amazing would be if the area had gotten better, not if everything had been replaced garbage except for one location."
That's basically the conversation we're having now.

My 2011 Corsair TX750W used as a daily driver for a decade and as a server PSU for the past 4 years says otherwise.
Edit: phoneposting so quotes are hard but I would not trust a single power supply made 1995-2005 for use today. Conversely my last build I just bought something good with good caps made well, well worth the extra money.

IoT editions (21H2) are currently reporting to not be receiving any more updates. Non-IoT ones (22H2) do not.
Allegedly, that's just a visual bug.

I hope the Linux Desktop improves a lot to the point where its easier and works more than Windows, but judging that the people working or volunteering on Linux haven't improved the desktop experience, and the fact that its filled with crazy trannies, I doubt that's possible.

Does anyone else have windows updates completely wreck their shit (HP) every time? I've just had to uninstall update KB5065426 because it was giving a 'double vision' effect, usually each security update just turns the screen off completely (done this nearly every month since Feb). Computer shop told me that windows updates just "aren't compatible with the graphics card" which is why it goes black or screen shakes and flickers. Any advice kiwibros?

That's a retarded way of saying to update your GPU drivers. I had issues for a couple of months with updates fucking with explorer.exe so I said fuck it and blocked all further updates.

I have updates blocked but sometimes ill just be working hard/browsing the farms and it'll restart itself to do an update : / I also had issues with using brave (swapped to firefox) because that would freeze and make it shut off. windows is literally the bane of my existence

Then you don't have updates turned off. You can either do it in regedit or use the Chris Titus debloater tool to turn them off. If Brave is causing you that many problems your PC might just be fucked.

No, but my Win 10 Enterprise VM, where I had a few educational tools installed, got wrecked, and I cannot even use system restore, startup repair, or Safe Mode, because it doesn't even get there.

So my work computer has announced that it will no longer get security updates. I asked about this during the last team meeting and they said it was sorted, so i'm a little curious what my works considers "sorted" to be as I doubt they will pay for extended support.

No, it doesn't, because Corsair's a premium brand. Before the shift to Chinese-made parts, you didn't have to buy a premium brand to get a PSU that lasted more than 36 months, as pretty much all of them did. PSUs dying after 2 years was unheard of. I didn't even know PSUs dying was even a thing until fairly recently.
Status: Not amazed.
1995 was 30 years ago. I'll bet that proportionally, there are more generic OEM PSUs from 1995 that still work today than there will be from 2020 that still work in 2050. Chinese-made capacitors and their consequences have been a disaster for the PC master race.

Literally everything is better than fucking Windows 11 at this point. I tried installing it on my rig to acquiesce and it fucked up like half my drivers, and my computer's in its fucking specifications.
I put linux in it. Fuck this shit. Enterprise and LTSC are both good still supported options that'll last you for a while longer, although eventually, until those niggers stop pushing actual fucking spyware and bloatware as an OS, you're gonna have to risk the cryptominers on 2032.

In my experience, all of the complaints levied against windows 11 only apply to the consumer versions; which makes sense, not everyone knows how to obtain and activate the enterprise versions (you can get them from massgrave, you don't even need to torrent them). That said, there are still annoyances, like having to install StartAllBack and using Windows update killer to pause unwanted automatic updates that force you to restart, and edge not being uninstallable, but aside from that, I've never had any issues with it.
Of course, it is heavier than windows 10, but on modern hardware this doesn't matter. The enterprise versions have no tracking or bloat; that goes for windows 10, too, and in fact 10 enterprise iot ltsc is still getting security updates.
For people who really don't like windows 11, I'd recommend giving the enterprise version of windows 10 a try, and when that eventually loses support, update to the enterprise version of windows 11; or just use 10 unsupported and deal with the minor risk associated with using unsupported operating systems.
Of course if neither of those is an option there's always Manjaro.
