Nah, think I'm going to piss and shit my pants, cry about bad and evil Microsoft is and how amazing and perfect Linux is and proudly decalre I'm switching to it, then daily drive Mint for two weeks until I inevitably hit the first obstacle of "Linux does something different", go back to Windows, but still LARP as a Linux user, but waiting out for Valve to release SteamOS that will solve my problems and will finally let me move to Linux for good (it won't) because only Valve can make "Windows but Linux" (no one can). :smug:

pretty incredible windows went through more UI changes than android did despite actually having a comprehensive design language that everybody liked. but i guess that was 10 years ago so they need a new one made for indians

Windows 7 will double its market share again. Microsoft will promise to switch off 5% of the niggercattle spying features in Win 11 like screenshotting your desktop and sending the pictures to India, and 70% of remaining Win 10 users will cuck and limp on over to it.

Hope this isnt too repetitive but to be fair, the AtlasOS install of windows is a godsend. It may be worth you checking out.

I use the install on my gaming machine it it guts all the fucking shit worth hating. No OneDrive, no bullshit, and you can use a local account.

The install instructions are crystal clear, so take your time and you will be plenty happy at the end.

While the discord it useful, it is fucking full of pedantic troons and autists. Use their discord at your own peril. YMMV.

You sure its not some bullshit made by a jeet to install a million rootkits or some half-assed mod like in the days of XP? how it deals with win11 updates and such? I get separate updates from the project?

Presumably because you can read the code on GitHub.

I actually hadn't heard of it before, and I will need to setup a new windows system in the next few months so I might try it out.

It is important to not use OneDrive, or make sure all your files are set to be available locally(or whatever that setting is) otherwise you may have a big sad without Internet.

WinUtil is an open source PowerShell project that has the most eyes on the codebase out of any project out there and is maintained by a reputable developer. It can both clean up a fresh install as well as build a cleaned up ISO.

Though it is funny you're this schizophrenic about malicious code in open source projects when you want to used a closed source OS that had unremovable telemetry for over a decade now, and that the other alternative to it takes your malicious code paranoia to the next level where just about every piece of the OS is an open source project with a separate maintainer, an ecosystem that's just begging for supply chain attacks.
