The Witcher Game Series

Another problem with Ciri is that they show in 3 that only the super duper one of a kind monsters are able to keep up with her and even then she was pulling the i was merely pretending to be weak/don't know how to use my powers card.
The bog witches get absolutely demolished, the wild hunt also jobs once they reveal they are just a bunch of retarded knife ears, the big league vampires don't want anything to do with humanity, unicorns are her fwends and the rest of the monsters can be defeat by just teleporting them to the sun lmao

I'd like to blame Jershs forum, but it's probably something I broke. Oh well.
Oh, I've had issues too. But as @Jace on ice mentioned, its highly likely that even if she didn't wind up sacrificing her life to seal away the White Frost and prevent another Conjunction from ripping the world apart (which is exactly what was starting to happen at the very end of the game), the cost was her powers.

And as I mentioned, unless Geralt actively goes out of his way to intervene in matters and then makes a specific choice at the end of that quest arc, Nilfgaard loses, Emhyr dies, and everything turns into a mess Ciri wants nothing to do with, and with no real claim to the throne even if she wanted to try for it since a victorious Emhyr can't speak for her legitimacy. So being a witcher is all she has left at that point.

I apologize as I have not played the Witcher (just have the 3 games sitting in my Steam library for years) but I decided to look into the current shitshow.

I'll never understand the videogame industry.

Image waltzing into a job interview literally anywhere else and telling the interviewer that you fucking hate their product, it's consumers, and if hired you plan on deliberately sabotaging the product and antagonizing the customer base.

And then the interviewer is like "Wow! Exactly what we need! Welcome aboard, you're hired!"

Hell you're probably far less likely to get hired if you actually like videogames.

Even though you have a fag like Cian posting all that dribble, the Witcher 3 alone is worth a play through.

NuCiri is fucking ugly and you don't need autistic MS Paint diagrams with university-level facial research to see that. Even in the third game she was an uninteresting overpowered Chosen One girl, her only redeemable quality was that she was hot. In fact EVERY female character in The Witcher is tolerable only because they're hot. New CD Projekts are explicitly against attractive female characters, so I can already tell that this game won't be successful and WILL bomb if it doesn't get stuck in development hell like everything they did before.

As a Witcher 3 normie myself, the reason why the growth in Witcher Fandom is because of 3, not 2 or 1 or the novels. More specifically, WB providing and demanding that the game play like a slav jank Arhkam instead of what came before.

w3 had a lot of hype when it was announced, part of that was w2 and CDPR's good word of mouth.

Witcher 2 came out the same year as Skyrim and Dragon Age 2 and combined solid action RPG gameplay with an actual plot and characters. Witcher 3 was a year after Inquisition left a bit of sour taste in everyone's mouths, and wound up completely mogging everything that had come before in terms of story, characters, gameplay, visuals, you name it.

TW2 also was demanding as hell, had a (imo undeserved) reputation for being hard, and was PC exclusive for almost an entire year. I like that game a lot, so much so that I blew most of my summer job money on building my first gaming PC instead of on weed, but I don't think it was ever a super popular game.

Indeed not, but it definitely set the stage for W3 considering the first game was a bunch of Slavjank with a rhythm game for combat slapped over BioWare's Aurora engine that they had used for all their RPG's. Going from that to W2 was a major "WTF" moment for a lot of people.

It caught a lot of people off guard, especially after the leaked alpha video made it seem like it was going to be even more of the same.
I think that leaked in late 2009.

CDPR games have always had absolutely awful combat, I'd say that's probably their most consistently feature.

Cyberpunk probably has the most fun combat and it's still extremely simplistic. Activate berserk and or Sandevistan and mash the attack button.

I think I would have liked that more. W1's combat is 'unique' but it works, and W3's is bland but inoffensive, but I hated W2's, so much that I skip it over when doing a series playthrough. It's obvious it's something they salvaged from their aborted W1 360 port.

All I did was trace the edge of their outline. Without a side by side of both raw models, it just could be the angle, but those don't look the same to me. Old Ciri has a somewhat defined curve, while Nu has a straight with a very slight outward, which the angle really doesn't help. Looks more outwardly prounounced than it really is in this image.
