You're not cool for being openly anti-theistic in the West.

Like, I get it, I'm not religious anymore either, but acting like some 2012 Reddit atheist just makes you look like a gigantic soyjak who's angry that Mommy and Daddy made you go to church on Sunday (it always did, but it gets nowhere near the same level of validation that it did in the past) . A good example is the recent post on the atheism subreddit crying about Artemis II's astronauts making religious statements getting widely mocked by the web at large.

Rural LARPing has to be one of the lamest suburbanite trends in recent memory. You do not like in a dirt road small town, you live in a suburb 25 miles from a major city with an international airport.

I think it's interesting paired with how almost all cars on the road now are black, white or grey. they're trying to look like a badass while driving the vehicular equivalent of grey laminate flooring
 
The MET Gala, Hollywood, movies, tv
I have theories about this.
If you look at the last two MET Galas its like ¾s black, mostly women.
I think the emphasis on black women has made people check out because they have the lowest social capital of all the race/gender combos and fashion and hollywood were supposed to sell a fantasy and no one's fantasy is to be a black woman.
Not even trying to be racist, it just is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is a multi-faceted issue. It isn’t just people larping, they literally got rid of the smaller truck sizes with environmental regulations so auto manufacturers went the other way with it and when those bigger trucks and SUVs started being common on the road people in their regular cars realized they would get their shit smashed in if they got hit. So many, especially women with children, decided the solution was to buy the big gas guzzlers themselves as armor angainst becoming a mini cooper sandwich.

That’s one part of it at least.
